Does anyone get magazine's for new ideas? I get Papercrafts and Creating Keepsakes for ideas and seeing all the new products coming out. What magazines do you read/look at/buy or subscribe to?

I get Creating Keepsakes, because I like most of Becky Higgins' sketches. I was given gift subscriptions to Memory Makers and Scrapbooks, Etc., but can go through them pretty fast. Non-scrapbooking magazines that make it in the door are Sunset, Oregon Coast, and a church magazine. And my husband must be on every catalog mailing list in the universe!

I have a subscription to Creating Keepsakes, got a free year for buying a disney album at Target (and got it on clearance too). I won't buy a subscription for it but liked the year for free. Vicki

I get Creating Keepsakes, Scrapbooks ETC, 2 different Stamp and Card ones too.
I got them all as gifts. They are ok. Can't say that I ever used them to create anything.
I just look at them for a little while, then sell them on ebay.

Beth,
If they are back issues, sometimes you can get more than retail for them.
I just sold over 90 mag, and made close to 500 bucks.

;D Good idea Beth. I don't have real oldies since I have been "collecting scrapbook suplies" for only a year and a half approximately, but I should check and try to sell on the E. Even if I make 50.00 I'd be ok (and DH will be thrilled)

LOL Gals, that's more money to spend on our favorite things...least my way of thinking and what DH doesn't know, really won't hurt him.

Okay I know this sounds really cheap and it is but clever. I talked my Dentist into getting Papercrafts in for women. He didn't have anything good! Just try to keep his patients happy. And I talked my Medical centre into getting Creative Keepsakes! Too many fashion magazines there. Now I just need some place to get Cards and I'll be all set! Laura. <><

I got some dutch Mags... I don't think you know them Creatief met foto's (creative with photo's) this is the leading dutch scrapbook mag, I have a presciption to this one and
Scrapbook Magazine,
I buy those in the store:
Scrap! Cards Only (scrapcards magazine, I heard issue 2 will be available this coming week, can't wait to get it!!)
I also have to read some legal magazines to keep up to date with what is going on in my line of work.. but I don't like to read those very much

Ah Laura, you are an inspiration. How cleaver. My problem is, I hate to visit the doctors and only see the dentist twice a year, okay, maybe three times a year with one cavity. I'd never get a chance to read them at their place.

Hi Beth, You have to get them to save the old copies for you. With 4 of us we are usually at the dentist every 3 months for cleaning. We always make the appointments for each person every 6 months. Very rarely do more than 2 people go at the same time. I can't stand waiting. As for the doctor I go every week ( well I am supposed to ) for Iron injections. I have just thought of the Optician ........ She may be another good place for a subscription!! ?? !! I will have to think about her office! Got to work on that one. She may prove a little more of a challenge. I need to check out her selection. ;D ;D ;D Laura. <><

I subscribe to Memory Makers, but will let it go, when my subscription expires. I do like the magazine but wit all the online galleries and blogs, I can browse so many LOs and cool projects for free. I've learned a lot techniques from them over the years as they used to have more informative articles than CK, so I think I've gotten my money's worth out of my subscription. I like scrapbooks etc. but they don't do international subscriptions so I get it when I order something from a German online store that has a copy left.
