We would like to go see the Giant Buddah too! I didn't realize that there was a cable car there too!
I did the trolley from the Peak. That was interesting! I was expecting it to be a little longer!
What are the differences that you noticed?

You HAVE to ride the cable car! Its 5.7km long and takes about 25 minutes. Here's the official website. www.np360.com.hk/html/eng/np360_exp/cablecar_tripmap.htmlHere is a photo I took from the 1st section of the cable ride. On the north west side, just where the cables are, you can just make out the Tian Tan giant bronze buddha on top of the mountain. You also have to go to Ocean park to see the giant Pandas! Well, it was very clean! I guess after SARS and Bird Flu, lessons have been learnt. People were much more polite and lots of people were speaking English when serving in the shops. I was visiting in Feb/Mar which is 'flu season and I couldn't believe how sensitive people were about 'flu!

Don't have any other plans except 1wk in New Hampshire in late August. If go anywhere else, it will be close with gas prices and all. Trying to curb spending with prices of heating oil rising.
