Mine is soccer!!!!
I love to go to the soccer stadium every 2 weeks to see my team Feyenoord Rotterdam play a homegame.
I know soccer isn't very popular sport in the US. But I love it.
Hey Laura did you know a boy from Canada is playing in my team. He recently received a dutch passport and he will play at the Olympics in the Dutch Olympic team. His name is Jonathan de Guzman. I bet you don't know him....
Oh.. did you all see the minibook I made from the rev soccerball die?

I saw your mini soccer book! It is cute! It inspired me to make one for my grandson!
My favorite sport? to watch is baseball- My father played on the Coast Guard team when he was in the military and I loved to watch his games. I love to watch the Mariners and Eagles.
I'm learning to enjoy soccer as my husband would watch it 24 X 7 if he could! My stepdaughter Karen is an avid soccer player in Mexico and her team has played at many national competitions in Mexico and my grandson is learning to play soccer. He loves kicking the ball.

I have to say my favorite sport is soccer as well. I used to play in my schools team once upon a time when I was young. After moving to USA soccer became history for me but it is the only sport I like to watch. Whenever I go back to my hometown, Costa Rica, I make sure to take my wife to the stadium. She loves it. Angelique, sorry the Russians beat you so badly

Dani, I didn't want to "sterotype" you, but I had a feeling your favorite sport was soccer or "futbol" too!

Angelique, Now that is a good question! Although I do not participate my very favorite sport to watch is Speed Skating. I can watch it for hours! I tried to talk my children into taking it up but neither were inrerested. Boo Hoo It would be in very poor taste to go any futher on this topic. Laura. <><

Angelique I forgot to answer you question. My answer is TRAITOR! No I am just kidding. I hope he helps your team do well at the Olympics. I don't like to watch many sports ( soccer, hockey, tennis ect. on T.V. ) but take me to the game and I am all caught up in the atmosphere. <><

I think the death of one of the players little baby girl last wednesday had everything to do with it. ah well I hope Russia will win. Their coach is dutch, so maybe there will be some dutch success after all.

Football!!!! We just got Jacksonville Jaguar season tickets and I can't wait for football season to start. The most watched in our house is college football. Hubby and all 3 sons love college football. I don't like watching baseball on tv but I love going to games. Nothing like hearing the crack of the bats and getting hotdogs at the game. My youngest got hooked on watching soccer when we were in Germany so he's been watching games since we've been home. Vicki

Makes me sick he does not even practice very much ;D Scratch Golfer? ;D ;D ;D ....I will more like a scratch.Period. Not golfer at all. I cannot even do the mini-golf thing for kids. I remember whan I lived in Texas (Killeen, TX) that my DH and I went 2 a mini-golf thing on our honeymoon and that was humilliating, I could be right next to it (obviously breaking all of golf rules) and I still won't be able to get the ball inside the hole.

Baseball is my favorite sport. But then I guess you guy's already knew that by my flashing Siggy.
My favorite team is the Seattle Mariners (Season Tickets), however, my favorite all time coach is the Cubs Lou Pinella. So I guess I am routing for the National League Cubs also.

;D OK, now, don't be too impressed. I just said that in case that any Dominican see me here, so they don't kick me out, but I don't know a thing about baseball....oh, but wait! whenever the Red Sox win I am all out with a Red Sox t-shirt on and proud celebrating ;D. I even met David Ortiz and Manny Ramirez! ;D I will try and post the pic here when I get home. When I met David Ortiz AKA Big Papi I didn't even know who he was (now, I was living in Tacoma, WA so I didn't know anything about Red Sox players from Bean town). I met him at the Boston Logan airport and I remember seeing this crowd, so I was like "Que pasa? (what's going on?) and a dominican guys was like "Oh, is Big Papi!" and I had this puzzled face expression. Anyways, at that point I had my older DD with me and I was about 7 months pregnant and he went crazy with my DD and said "Oh, she is so cute, can I hold her" and I was like "help yourself" (hey, I was pregnant, tired and traveling alone) and he held her for approx. 20 minutes. Believe it or not, I was shy to ask for an autograph (I would have thrown it away eventually, anyways) but I, as a good scrapper, asked for a picture and he said in Spanish "take twenty" so I took 3. ;D Long story, if I could only journal at the same speak that I talk. I am not a sporty gal, I don't know a thing about sports. Sometimes I sit and I enjoy watching the ice skating (is that consider a sport?), the gymnastic, a little soccer and some swimming, but I can't really tell if they do right or if they messed up, and I can't watch more than 15 minutes of it really. Maybe someday I learn so that I can go and be more than a cheerleader of the world . BTW, Boston had been winning a couple of sports things (are they called championships???) lately. We had the Boston Red Sox (baseball), the Boston Celtics (basketball) and the New England Patriots (football? :S...these ones lost on the last game)

Well, Soccer may not be as popular as other sports in the US, but in my house we are soccer 24/7. DH played in college and DS (age 8) plays year round and has been to many states to play. Here's a few layouts from a tournament in Orlando when he was 6 (actually he turned 7 while we were there): I thought that soccer guy was creepy at first, but DH and DS loved him. He was cut with the new Cricut Soccer cartridge. And here's a layout when they got their trophies!! Uses QK Merry & Bright. My guy is the dark haired one on the right!

Tennis! I love to play, and watch. I don't enjoy the DRAMA that seems always present on womens teams... but love the game, and really love playing mixed doubles-the men are much easier to deal with... and bring a calm that doesn't exist on a court full of women! I like baseball in old, small ballparks, and football if I know the players too.

For me it's baseball, We have two minor league's here where we live but I mainly like the team at the Whataburger Field The team is called the Hooks, they are named that because we are surrounded by water and people go fishing here in CC, Texas.
Get it we use hooks and bait to fish.
If my back would allow it we would go more often, but I can't sit Thur the whole game. Well at least I couldn't.
Not too sure about it now. I am getting arthritis in my back now, which my Dr.s warned me about, but I needed the surgery, maybe when they find the right pain medicine with it being addictive, I can sit Thur a whole game.
On Friday's they have fireworks and they are so beautiful, they reflect on the water over the Harbor Bridge.
Thanks, Betty/navymom05
