We had one of the huge fires up here turn last night and double in size, thanks to a wind change, and our valley is filled with so much smoke that it looks like an overcast November day, and we almost need to turn on the lights to see what we're doing, at 10:00 in the morning. There's enough ash on the roads, that it looks and acts like a light snow, where it kind of swirls under the tires. So the hope of many of the firefighters being released any time soon disappeared overnight. So, if you all on this board have a minute today, send a good thought or two their way. Oh, and the predicted temperature today? 113!

My good thoughts are always with the firefighters. They are true heroes in my opinion.

How terrible. Summer is such a terrible time with all the fires. We have been lucky here in Canada so far. The west coast of the US appears to be hard hit every summer all summer. It is a wonder that there are any trees left to burn. I pray that there is no loss of life and that God is with those brave firefighters. Look after your self. laura. <><
