Good morning Cheryle Yep, hooray for Spain they lost so often in penalty shooting before. You know Italy bet the German team in the World Championship 2006 so we're a little partial against the Italian team right now.

I am so happy that Spain kicked the Italian buts..
I would have been very upset if Italy would have won, since Holland is out of the tournament, and the Dutch team tought Italy a soccerlesson in the first game of the tournament..
Viva EspaƱa!!!

Hi Cheryle, I would love to say Good Morning but it is afternoon here and I am just up. School is out so I stayed up very late playing Video Games with my son. I just put the coffee on and thought I would see what I was missing. I used to go to Soccer Matches when I lived in the UK but the only Soccer teams we have around here are not worth watching I'm afraid. " Love " your picture by the way. ;D Laura. <><

Laura, maybe I should interest you in a fine team over here.. I love my local team Feyenoord. I have grown up with it. It is in my blood. (And best of all there are two guys playing with Canadian roots.. okay one became dutch to boost his career, but there i still one that remained faithfull to his country.. one Jacob Lensky...
So you might consider my team. Or just Holland in general.. lol

Thank you! This was taken in Comala, Colima, Mexico. Colima is a small state SW of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. A lot of Canadians holiday in Manzanillo, Colima which is about an hour from the capital also named after the state Colima. Alaska airlines always has great fares to Manzanillo.
We are sitting at a restuarant next to the "Jardin" It's a small square in the center of the pueblo, listening to Mariachi music and enjoying our botanas (apetizers).
We have a small house in this little town and the ranch is about 5 miles in Parades Grandes.
I'm fortunate to live near Mt. St. Helens and watched her eruption in 1980. Now, I have a home near another Volcano, Vulcan de Fuego and it is very active. I enjoy watching the eruptions. We have two ruins within 6 miles of our home and they are always recovering interesting artifacts. The beaches are about an hour away.

Angelique, Does that mean I have to move to The Netherlands! If you want me as a fan you'll have to tell when and where the games are to played and I will follow them. I will even Buy a Dutch Flag and send you a picture of me waving it!!!
Cheryle, I am so pleased for you that you have such a beautiful place to vacation. I am looking for an Igloo myself as I can't stand hot weather....my family aren't with me though! <><

I tell them yes and then they ask me what it was like! Well, when I'm asked a "dumb" question, I sometimes give a "dumb" answer. I love the cold weather and enjoy ice skating! I live close to two ice rinks. I get tired of the rain that we have in the Pacific NW and need time to dry out! If you are not careful, your feet begin to morph into web feet like ducks Therefore, my need for Mexico! In '72 we drove the Alcan and I really enjoyed the Yukon Province. Fell in love with Lake Louise too!

Hi Cheryle, I hate to say it but when we visited the Southwestern States a number of years ago so many people thought that all Canadians lived in Igloos with no Sanitation or Hydro. What do they teach about in Geography down there? Many were owners of stores hotels and restaurants? It stuck me as wierd! I don't mind rain, I'll take it over heat anyday so maybe we have to trade lives? <><

so many people thought that all Canadians lived in Igloos with no Sanitation or Hydro. I think what happen is that they think Alaska is Steward's folly - Icebox and anyone who lives in the North - close to the North Pole must live in Igloos because again, "Sterotyping" You are suppose to be living in subzero weather with the Eskimos and a zillion feet of snow! So why not egg them on!!!!!! I can remember when we moved from Newfoundland and "kids" didn't understand that you can live in another country! Weird eh?

I'm a little but Good morning, and good afternoon.
Cheryle, I love seeing all of your pictures, I admire you, you have been to so many places that I can only dream of going. Maybe one day you can sneak me in your luggage, the Good Lord knows I really need a vacation, I wish I traveled much on an airline so I could use airline miles, but I have only been on an airplain once.
Wow all I could is dream. I would love to see all your scrapbook's Cheryle because your pictures are out of this world, no punt intended, I know you have been many places.
Thanks for the pictures.

I love the Dogs and Sled over the border idea! That's a good one to use!!!!!!!The other thing that I do: When I go to trade shows or travel and people ask me where I live or see Vancouver on my name tag, they assume it's BC - so I continue forward - sometimes, there's no correcting people. It's a good thing I know Vancouver BC very well!

Good morning Betty, Thank you for your compliments. I wish I could blink you here! When I look at postcards, I look at the angles that they take the pictures to try and imitate that. I was close on the picture of the church. The picture of the 5 of us was Karen's Quinceanera. I planned it here in Vancouver and the girls down there. Favi (on the left) helped do the errands and good thing about internet and emails! I made all the decorations for the party, and we had three friends driving down for Christmas so each friend took a couple of boxes for me. The decorations that I made, were partially made for space considerations and when I got down to Mexico, I assembled everything! It was a lot of fun and her Quinceanera party turned out wonderful!!!! The hall that we used at one point was almost standing room only for dancing, we had an 11 man banda and a little food left over! We had invited 300 family friends. I will share photos later.

Great photos Cheryle! I often wonder about the us education system. I have to call the south sometimes for work, and when I say I am from michigan, people think it is cold all year round! I told someone it was 90 degrees and they were like it get's that hot there!!! Yes it is cold in the winter and hot hot hot in the summer. Laura you mean you don't have an igloo!??!! ;D

Good Morning Cheryle,
Great Pictures! Looks like you have been to beautiful places. We don't travel much and it usually within' a couple hours from the house. Maybe one day we will go on an extended vacation that actually requires flying -- We did go to the Bahamas for our honeymoon but that was 12 years ago. One day we would like to fly down to Mexico -- maybe Playa de Carmen -- I guess we will wait until the kids are a little older though!
Thanks for sharing your pictures -- I always like to see the places you have been.
Lisa

Well I need to feel REALLY part of the Team!! What about a scarf in Britian they always were scarfs!!! Laura. <>< Hi Laura, I never heard of that one! One thing I did notice when I traveled to the UK and the European mainland was that the women mostly wear black stockings/nylons. So when I travel there, I too wear them. Another thing, when I was in Germany and Switzerland, they did not believe I was "American", I guess I fit in really well, LOL, they told me I look Austrian, and well, I guess my great-grandmother's genes are very strong because she was from Austria
