I am a WorkForce Operations Manager for a telecommunications company that is world wide. The nuts and bolts of what I do is I control the call flow to Customer Service Call Centers in Regina Canada, Monterrey Mexico, Lubbock Texas, Austin Texas, Lafayette LA, El Paso Texas, Longview Texas. Also, my group of direct reports coordinate all schedule changes for the employees in the Texas cities. Can be very crazy at times so scrapbooking is a great stress relief for me along with being what I love to do.

I am disabled. I have 6 bad disc in my back, they just fixed 2 and another will be fixed in a couple of years, and I will have to have my stimulator left in my come out in 6 to 9 months, I am going to go for the 6 months because I can't afford another deductible, I also have fibromyalgia and a bad knee due to the 8 years of back problems. I hate, I would give anything to be able to go out into the land of living. Betty/navymom05

I have had 3 back surgeries but on the same disc. I also have neurostimulator for nerve damage. It was a life saver for me....can not imagine being with out it. I understand completely the pain you are going through since there was a miserable 5 years for me. I am sorry that you are not getting relief but if you ever need someone to vent to that actually knows the pain that you are in.....let me know. I am off and on the board through out the day. Chin up!!

Betty, that is just awful. I hate to hear stories like yours because I think insurance is a big scam. They are just out to make money it seems.
I am a pharmacist and work for Walgreens. Sometimes I love my job, and sometimes I really hate it.
Right now, my husband is unemployed, so I am the sole bread winner in the household. Don't get me wrong, he is wonderful because he totally has dinner ready for me when I get home, and does laundry and vacuums. He really helps me out. Other than the loss of income, I actually prefer him home. This week he is visiting his brother in Colorado, so I have to fend for myself.

Dani I want your job....actually I just want to be in a room filled with Quickutz and scrapbook stuff! ;D
I am a chartered Town Planner/Planning Officer. I work in Development Control in Local Government.
Basically, I deal with planning applications for all sorts of development.
I used to work full time, but after having my DS I changed my hours so I only work two days a week now. They're pretty big on flexible working in the UK. Its great because I can still spend lots of time with him at home and he also gets some social interaction with other children in nursery (day care).
My hubby is a Software Enginneer/Computer Programmer/IT bod or whatever they like to be called!

I've tried to explain my job in another post. I am serving legal papers, evicting people when they don't pay the rent. Taking peoples stuff ans sell it when they don't pay the bills... yeah.. I have a very popular job her...
There are several names for my job. Bailiff, proces server, sumoner, messenger at arms, sheriff officer.. to name a few. I am sure there are more...
But there are some benefits to this job. I have company car, company cell phone, I am outside most of the day. (Not very funy when it rains) and the money isn't bad either... and no NO company CC lol

Emma, I have tried to get Danis job but he refuses to move to Canada! I really don't get it as I am willing to work for product! What better arrangement could there be? For the last 11 years I have been on Canada Pension Disability. My doctors don't think I will ever be able to retun to work so I do alot of volunteer work. Before that I work at a Daycare Centre for 16 years..Oh I miss the little ones. Previous to that I managed and did the accounting for a restaurant after being trained as a Sous Chef. That takes me back to those good old school days! <><

I am a stay at home mom right now. My dream job would be owning a scrapbook store with of course, QK, EVERYWHERE! And access to all the new release info and all the new dies!!! How fun would that be. I have also thought about going into photography as soon as both my kids get into school. I definitely want to be able to be around for my kids while they are young -- they grow way too fast and I am fortunate enough to be able to be home with them now.

I work as a Travel Advisor in a Consolidator Travel Agency, in other words, we sell tickets at wholesale prices that smaller travel agencies retail to their customers for higher fares.\ I am planning on attending college in January.

I worked for the telephone company in the central office. I'm one of those people that connected your telephone systems, data systems, and internet. I retired from there, and now have decided to go back to work. The start of this school year, I'll be a Teacher's Aid for a kindergarten class. Can't wait. Love those little kiddies, should be tons of fun. Maybe more challenging that I imagine. But being part of a child's development is a privilege.
I also could take Dani's job, and spend time in the store just drooling over the new stuff. Of course, I'd be broke. It would be like contributing to the national debt. LOL

My most important job is being a MOM
I own a small B & M Jewelry Store and an online die cut store. ( selling the pre-made items.)
I have a nursing degree as well, but I hated nursing. I was forced to go to college for it. Good thing I went back for Business Management.

I am a mommy that stays home to take care of these crazy little people. A humbling experience for sure. When moms tell me that they went back to work because they just didn't enjoy it, I nod my head. I understand that completely now!
I do feel so grateful to have this job though. Watching these little boys grow up is the most amazing experience in the world. I am not the best mommy (they do try my patience and I am so terrible about staying completely calm all the time) but I know these little dudes will grow up OK anyway. God still uses me and my good qualities even if I am not perfect. I am so relieved in the knowledge that I am the mommy he wanted for these little ones so I try to give myself a break. There is so much pressure these days to do everything the "right" way.

I am a former public school speech therapist...former, because it became increasingly evident that I was pushing more paper around (thanks to all of the regulations) than seeing students. My husband suggested that I resign while I could still say that I loved my job, and I took his advice. I have never looked back, and don't miss it, and I CAN still say that I loved the job. Now I spend my time scrapbooking, practicing the organ, and taking care of my family. I couldn't ask for a better life!

Jenn, you have one of my dream jobs! I'd love to do that someday.
I'm an editor and graphic designer--and love it most days. We all have days that are awful, don't we? (Can you tell I had one of those days today?)

I'm a cook, finance planner, nurse, recreation director, therapist, cab driver, etc. In another word a SAHM! ;D Been home since I had my 1st one 13 yrs ago.
My husband likes knowing I'm home if there's an emergency, snow day, vacation day, sick child, dr's appt, etc. Makes him less stressed knowing he can concentrate on his job while he's there & not worry about home. I don't take him or the opportunity to stay home for granted.
