Dirt Pudding

1 Large pkg. Oreo Cookies
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup melted butter
1 (8 oz) pkg. cream cheese
1 cup powdered sugar
3 cups milk
1 (8 oz) container Cool Whip
2 small pkg. instant vanilla pudding

Crush cookies and combine with melted butter and sugar. Pat into bottomof 9 x 13 pan, reserving 1/2 of mixture. Set aside.

Combine softened cream cheese and powdered sugar; add milk and pudding. Mix well and then add Cool Whip. Spread mixture on top of crushed cookie mixture.

Sprinkle on top with remaining cookie mixture. Chill and serve.

oh thank goodness, when I first saw the title I thought it said diet pudding, yuck, who wants that stuff, lol, this looks much, much better, lol. Definately going to make this one. Yummy!

What a funny name! Ha ha! My Swedish grandmother used to say a pound of dirt a year is good for you. We figure she probably meant an ounce, but what the heck. Anyway, I saw the title and thought we shared relatives. Oreos are much better!

I've had this before but have never had a recipe for it. Thanks, I will have to make it myself now.

I once saw it served in a child's beach bucket with a shovel as the serving spoon. Cute!!
