16 ozs red candied cherries 1 cup butter, softened 2 cups sugar 1 tsp almond extract 8 eggs 4 cups flour
Preheat oven to 300. Spray 10” tube or 2 loaf pans with non-stick cooking spray. Cream butter, sugar & extract until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time beating well after each, gradually add flour. Stir in cherries & pour into prepared pans. Bake 2 hrs 20 minutes for tube pan or bake 1 hr 30 minutes for loaf pans. Cake is done when toothpick inserted in middle come out clean. Cool in pan.
Can change fruit to be 8 ozs candied cherries & 8 ozs candied pineapple
