Beef Stew 2 pounds Stew Meat Garlic Salt Salt Pepper 1 medium Onion thinly sliced then cut into fourths (this way the onions are not to long) DO NOT CHOP THEM ~hint I have an onion petal cutter that I use for the onion and potatoes 3 to 4 Potatoes cut up into small pieces 2 to 3 – 14.5oz cans of French Style Green Beans (drained) 2 - 10oz cans of Condensed Tomato Soup 2 - 14.5oz cans of Diced Tomatoes Season the Stew Meat with the Garlic Salt, Salt and Pepper. Next beat the crap out of the Stew Meat with a meat tenderizer (the harder you beat the better it will taste). LOVE pounding meat when I have a bad day After beating cut the Stew Meat into smaller pieces and then place in the bottom of the Crock-Pot. Next add - Onion slices Diced Potatoes Drained French Style Green Beans Condensed Tomato Soup Diced Tomatoes Last cover and cook on High for 1 hour and then turn to low for 6 to 7 hours. Serve with Hawaiian Sweat Rolls!` typo sorry, sweet rolls ~ lol!

I love Crockpot recipes, and can't wait to get some stew meat and beat the crap out of it with my husband's (he's the best cook in the house!) mallet! What a great way to work out frustrations at the same time! (Oh, and work up a sweat, too!)

Beth, this sounds great. Can't wait to try it - both the recipe, and beating the crap out of the stew meat! ;D I'm also a Crock-pot fan. Since you guys are too, I'll post some of my faves to share soon. Gail

We just had the beef stew (or, as my DH calls it, "The Beat It to Crap Stew") for dinner tonight, and it was great. My DH loved it (he's very wary, because my MIL kills beef stew), and my usually picky daughter ate all of it! Thanks for a recipe that we'll use again...and again!

mm I think I'll give this one a try... do you not brown the meat before you put it in the crockpot?

mm I think I'll give this one a try... do you not brown the meat before you put it in the crockpot? I didn't brown the meat first...the only thing I did before it went in the crockpot was to follow the directions and "beat the crap out of it"!

thanks casunflower, I'm glad the family liked it, and LOVE the new name given for this beat it to crap stew no need to brown it, the crock pot will do the cooking for you. You may want to give it a stir when you turn it down so the meat doesn't clump together. I like to play around with it for a change, sometimes when I make it, I use everything noted except for changing around the diced tomatoes, used one can with basil, garlic & oregano, and one with green chillies to add a more spicier taste to it. hubby & father-in-law said they'd try that again now I can remember what I used by this ;D
