My faves are the greeting farm, cc designs, magnolia and house mouse. For clear stamps I like hero arts

My favorite stamps are made of rubber! I have a few clear but I can't stamp them as well as rubber. I also prefer to buy individual stamps vs sets. I've been stamping for years and just love it!
Of the stamps that Dani carries my favorites are Magnolia and Bildmalarna. They are irresistible.
Other current favorite companies include Magenta, Impression Obsession, Penny Black (flowers), Cornish Heritage Farms, & a·muse.......
I love flowers, bugs, birds, words (scripture & humor!), & cute. I've never really gotten into the Tim Hotz collage style stamping. I realize I am probably in the minority.
That's enough!!!

I agree with you susie. I'm not into Tim Holtz either. I do like some of his new sizzix releases.

Oh good! I thought I was the only one not into Tim Holtz. Some of it is nice but it isn't my first choice.

I'm not sure we're in the minority...I'm not all that excited about the Tim Holtz stamps, either.

Yikes! I just realized Dani is carrying Tim Holtz stamps. I should have checked before I used them to describe a stamp style. While they may not appeal to those of us who like the cute Magnolia stamps I'm sure they non-cute stampers will gravitate to them.
Dani, thanks so much for carrying a range of stamps so that all of us can be satisfied!
smiles, susie

Susan, I think you should take this as a challenge! Make all the doubters fall in love the the TH stamps. You know you can do it!
I'm not a big stamper, but I can see some big possibilites to use the TH stamps for backgrounds. But I see fewer possibilities for all of those who like to color their stamped images. Maybe try the TH stamps while you are waiting for the copic refills?

LOL Oh I so wish I could get myself over the Tim Holtz block I have. UGH - I just try and try but the grungy, distressed look is really a stretch for me! But maybe I'll toss one in my cart the next time and give it a whirl. Who knows!

Ok, if Susan doesn't have any TH stamps, I'll put that challenge out to anyone. Can you do it? Can you combine/use TH stamps to fit in with your style of scrapping/card making/general craftiness? And yes, I Double Dog Dare you! Michelle

Well. I'm going to buck this trend.... . Like the rest of you, I really DON'T like the Tim Holtz shabby, grungy look, but I DO like the stamps! I just use them with my own style, which tends to be brighter and less cluttered. Most of the current stamping magazines also tend to showcase the shabby look, which I guess is "in" right now. One of the many things I love about Susan's examples is that they don't look antique, but more modern. If I'm making a card for someone, I don't want to depress them (and me!) with brown, dark, grungy work. I want to cheer them up with something colorful! ;D . I've never been much of a fan of "cute" stamps, though the Greeting Farm is winning me over big time! I prefer more realistic looking images, usually from nature, or geometric designs. I wish Dani would carry more of these (maybe someday). I'm glad that so many of you are getting into stamping, and that Dani's carrying stamping stuff so he can support my other habit, too! Gail

Not a fan of the grunge look, however, I did take some Tim Holtz classes in South Carolina last year and gained an appreciation for some things Tim Holtz. I like the ink for certain projects. I think the stamps are to eclectic for my tastes.

Barb and Gail, show us some examples of your work!
I'm tempted by a few of the stamps. I think you could get some really neat effects with the stamps and embossing folders. They look the same, but I'm waiting to see them side by side.

T!m H's style is not my style but it is certainly unique. Here is a man who developed a totally different way to look at stamping. He then developed the products to support his style. He is a marketing guru. Someone's style that I really admire is Linda Albrecht. She doesn't post often but when she does it is worth waiting for. She designs for Melissa Frances and several others.

Okay, I admit - I LOVE Tim Holtz style. Am I the only one??? But I also like TGF, Magnolia, Inkido and C.C Stamps I like to change style, from cutiest cute like Magnolia to more rough and "inky" like TH. When I showed one of TH videos for my hubby he asked if I thought that his (male) friends were mocking him for making stamps and other "girlie" stuffs. But I said that I doubt his friends were mocking his bank account

No Veronica you are not the only one. I like most of his style; but not always the way he used it. I 'm a person who learns different styles and techniques then twist and turn them and use them on different palettes and make them fit my style or maybe it would be called tweaking my style. (some of his style helps when making props for school proms/dances...band concerts ..etc...) I've seen where people are "card lifting" (believe that was the term); guess you could say I "technique lift". I so love learning new techniques, about new products and different ideas. Cat
