I have an extra-long, not-too-wide plastic box that I found at Jo-Ann's. I use it for the "fat" borders that don't fit into the EZ Storage sheets, and since there aren't a lot of those, I haven't even tried to keep them in any particular order in the plastic box. I've always hoped that QK would re-design the border storage sheets (4 skinny slots, 3 medium, 2 wide), so I could keep them all in one place! (I've certainly made the request enough times that they could hardly overlook the idea! ) I have friends who have found a plastic box in the fishing section of Wal-Mart that works well, too.

How are you storing your QK 12" border dies? I need ideas!! I use the Staples pencil boxes that are 13" long - they were $1.00 2 weeks ago! I have one box for "themed borders" - like carolers, thanksgiving word, easter eggs, etc. I have one box for "non themed images" - like flowers, flowers and flowers and one box for "designs/patterns" - like flourishes, scallops, swirls, etc. They were great, lock up fairly tight and are super easy to grab and transport!

Don't give up yet. I'm hoping the new company will be able to act on some of our suggestions so send it in again

Diane you are just way too organized. What an awesome job and thank you for sharing. I need to get started since my room is out of control. I have things shoved in every cubby I can find. I was just at JoAnns and came home with something but now I wish I would have waited to see your pictures.

I did what Susan did (13-inch writing utensil case from Staples) but I have only one of them. I throw the border dies/embossing borders all in there. Very easy to handle. I have a basket I bought from Michael's in which I've placed that, then pencil holders with my CCs, and the various plates from the revolution and Epic so I can just pick up and go.
Dania, once I cleared my magnetic storage thingys from QK of all my CCs my gift set fit nicely. Had to use three or four of them but they were empty so why not?

Border dies Like Diane I used legal sized file folders. I cut mine down and folded the ends in and used double stick tape to close them. I first used a photo box to store the folders in. Then I found one of those girlie tool boxes at Wally World. They are translucent white plastic tough stuff, but they had teal, pink, purple lids with handles. (cute choices) Inside was a tray with a handle. I removed the tray and my border die folders fit perfect. I have plenty of room for what I have and maybe a few more. (Like the music staff border die I got in the mail today. ) Mine still don't have the picture of the die; some don't even have the name on them yet. (Maybe I need Diane to come to my house ) I still use the extra long (13 in.) pencil box to carry the ones I plan on using at club. cat

Diane, Great job! It looks great! And good job with the photos--they all look the right size now. Last week, my photos were messed up, too. Not sure I really like photobucket. I think we have a lot of really organized women on the MB! Wow--and I thought I was over organized. I'm so impressed. (And jealous!) Here is how I store my border dies. I just cut open the plastic that the dies come in and trim off the end plastic that has the hanging tab on it. Then I pop them into this box. It works for now, but I may just copy your idea. I love it! Michelle

Mine are not so neatly organised, now you got ne thinking about creating envelopes for them... Maybe if I can find a nice box to hold them. So far I keep my borders in a gift box for wine bottles, which I covered with a nice floral paper. I found it in a shop that sells beautiful Italian gift wrapping papers. Great for altered projects cause they are much larger than 12 x 12.

That box is simply beautiful! Don't apologize for it--it's gorgeous! And I love that paper! DD had a dress with a similar print. I loved it so much, I ordered it in a bigger size for later and a newborn size for her doll.
Love it!

Your border box with the sliding top is beautiful. I'm sure when you out grow it, you will find another use for it!

Oh! I LOVE the wine box. What a great idea! I love the red poppy paper you covered it with. If you get too many border dies for one; you could always get another. They would look great setting on a shelf or anywhere. I've never seen wine boxes like this one. Only seen the tall round ones made from cardboard. I think I may have to look around and find some of these boxes to use for storage. Great job! cat

That's a gorgeous box, Barbara. Sure beats my 13-inch writing utensil older. I might have to visit the liquor store . . . well, at least add another thing to my list . . .
