Would anyone want wood blocks from old Stampin Up sets? I have been converting mine to unmounted sets. Unfortunately they are sticky on the spots where the stamps were placed.
They would be free except shipping costs.

Cat, I still like wood stamps but I have decided to pull my Stampin Up Stamps off the wood. Lots of people put them in the microwave for 15-20 seconds then pull off the cling & rubber together, but I don't like putting rubber in the microwave so here is what I do: 1. I use a little bit of Undu to start the peeling process between the cling mount and the wood. 2. If it isn't a clean peel then I pull off the cling and paint the back of the rubber with Aleene's Tack-It Over & Over Glue. You can get this at Michaels, Joann's etc. I let it dry and then I put them in a clear DVD case by set. I stamp the image on a foam pad so the cling mount doesn't seem critical for me to get a good impression. 3. Here is the link for the DVD cases. shop.stampbystep.com/Stamp-Storage_c95.htmI like the clear ones and then I slip a copy of the stamp set under the clips & write the name of the set on the spine with a Sharpee marker. It is a bit tedious but it is working well for me. Does this make sense, Cat? Feel free to ask me to clarify if I've confused you. smiles, susie

Susie, thank you for the information. Your instructions made perfect sense. I'm not sure I want to take mine off the wooden blocks at this point; but maybe sometime down the road I will. As you know storage space can be a big issue when it comes to crafting areas/rooms Thanks for your help. Cat

Susie, I have started to do this with my non Stampin Up stamps and now I'm ready to do it for my SU sets also. Are you finding that you can store a complete set in one cd case or do I need to buy those DVD cases that SU sells in a 4 pack. Thanks!
