Mila I was watching how you designed the halloween frame on your blog. (cute by the way. ) I saw that the leg of the frame was being tempermental. It would lean back sometime more than you wished. You can remedy this by attaching some ribbon to the back of the frame and then to the leg in the length that would give you the best standing angle for the frame. HTH.

Thanks Dania! I am going to be making a few holiday frames as well so I will try it then. That is an awesome idea! They are really cute and great for gifts or stalking stuffers.
Hugs,
Mila

It's sure a cute idea. I was doing a search for the chipboard that you mentioned in your video and I can't find it. Is the chipboard the thickness of a cereal box? Also, I was doing some research and of course not all chipboard is acid free. AND I really would like to make chipboard titles for my layouts. This is why I get so frustrated. I spend a bunch of dollars and then I can't find the correct materials to work with the machine.

Dania,
No the chipboard is a little bit thicker then cereal boxes. I also used acid free chipboard (that is medium weight chipboard and yes the cricut cuts it using the multi cut function) that i get at Mike's. I usually save those for my 12 x 12 layouts, and i am 100% sure that they are acid free. I will take a pic tonight and post it. I don't think Dani carries chipboard so it would be ok to post.
The other chipboard that i used on the frame was by Colorbok and i got it at Joann's it comes in a huge pack with. Always using a coupon of course.
Hugs,
Mila

I emailed Cricut and asked them what they recommend. So frustrating.

Yep, Dani carries the QK chipboard. It's OOS right now, but it is the best stuff ever. Nice and thin so that QK dies will cut it and it's adhesive backed. Love that feature!

Yes, I saw the QK chipboard, but i didn't see the medium weight chip board. I will look again, because I would love to order some, I use it all the time with my sizzix and to be honest Michaels sells the medium weight I think it is 6 sheets of 12 x 12 for $5.99, which I think is kind of expensive. But I love the fact that it is medium weight and Acid Free.

I do have the QK Chipboard, but I was hoping the Cricut would cut a thicker Chipboard. Actually I use the QK chipboard a lot and I layer it when I want a chunkier look.

The Cricut will cut medium weight chipboard; however you need the deep cut blade and you need to Multi Cut it). Maybe we can ask Dani if he can carry the medium weight chipboard. I will look into the company that makes it, because it is Acid Free.

Mila

The QK chipboard only comes in the thin weight. QK dies won't cut anything thicker.
I'd like to see Scrapy Land carry grungeboard. (hint, hint!) That stuff intrigues me. Did you know that it's flexible and if you get it wet, it won't fall apart? And that you can emboss it? I'm intrigued!

OMG, grungeboard is so neat. You can even put it through the wash and it will be fine. I have some, and will try it with the dies as well as the Cricut. I like medium weight - heavy weight chipboard to use with my sizzix dies as well as my Cricut. I love dimension. Hugs, Mila

lol! I can't get the right chipboard and now there is grungeboard. I'm assuming that is for the Sizzix dies, since they cut anything.

Grungeboard works well with the deep cut blade on the cricut as well. I will cut something tonight and show you the outcome, i will post it tomorrow morning.
Michelle is right though, it is really neat. It is like chipboard, but flexible.

Mila

But QK won't cut grungeboard. It's too thick. It's one of Tim Holtz's products and yep, it's made for the deep cut dies.
I've heard that you can wash it, but why would you??? But it's pretty neat stuff.

Correct it will not cut QK or any other thinner dies. I use it specifically for the Cricut and my sizzix dies. It comes in all different embossed form like dots, lines, etc.
However, grunge paper will cut in the QK dies. That is really cool as well. Have you guys heard of that?
Maybe some people apply it to their clothes? I don't know anyone who has done that, but if they ever wanted to.
Hugs,
Mila

.... grungeboard. I've heard that you can wash it, but why would you??? But it's pretty neat stuff. Michelle ...maybe to make it grungier?!!! Kind of like buying jeans with holes in it! I'm doing good to get the laundry done. Jeff would really question my sanity if I washed my die cuts! smiles, susie

Mila--grunge paper? Oh, the things that you learn here! I've only seen grunge board and die cut packages.
Dani, when you get a minute, we need some of this stuff!

Mila- I have the first, small Cricut- the one that cuts 6" wide- will the deep cut blade work in that machine? Do I need a different cutting mat to cut grunge board? Have you cut Mickey with the grunge board?
Thanks, Cindy

Sorry guys, i did not have time to cut out the grunge board on the Cricut last night. I will try to cut it out tonight and have it posted tomorrow. Cindy, I have not tried to cut out Mickey on grunge board yet, but i sure will. It probably won't be until Sunday or Monday though. I am working on a Halloween mini for design team that i am on (just found out i was in a few days ago, exciting ) Of course you guys know that i am using G45 paper. I will have it up on my blog on Sunday, i will post a few pics on here as well. So far it is turning out pretty cute. This is the fastest mini that i have made though. Wish me luck. Hugs, Mila
