I hope he is improving by the hour! He is doing great thank god. They already unplugged all the machines, he walks, eats, everything is fine. SHould be going home in the next 1-2 days. I am actually with him right now watching world series. I told my mom to go out a bit for fresh air. She stays at the hospital almost 24hrs a day.

Just a brief walk outside can make all the difference, so I'm glad to read that she can get away, even for a bit...she must be absolutely worn out. ***And if you're watching the world series, I hope you're cheering the team that's winning at the moment!

Glad to hear he's doing so well. Definately make sure your Mom takes breaks. Don't want her getting sick from not taking care of herself. Vicki

I'm so glad to hear that your father is doing so well. And that you can give your mom a bit of a break. I'm sure she's exhausted. And have I been living under a rock? It's the World Series that you have been talking about in the other threads? I think I need to at least watch the news or something! The TV hasn't been on in a week here. Time to catch up with the real world! Michelle

Michelle Yep...it's the World Series, and if you knew my DH, you'd think there wasn't any other news! Oh, and if you decide to watch, be sure to cheer for the ORANGE and BLACK team (that would be the San Francisco Giants)!

My father in law had a mild heart attack the other day. I think it's called a stint, got clogged and they had to replace it. He was in and out of the hospital within a day or two. Dealing with the heart, I am always amazed how bodies can recover so quickly most of the time. While I really don't mind if either team wins, I am pulling for the Rangers, they did make me very, very, very happy by knocking the yankees out of it, lol. Either way, I'll be happy with whichever team wins. Vicki

I learned a long time ago to not say to DH..."Gee, it's only a game!" That could have caused a divorce (well, not really!)

Dealing with the heart, I am always amazed how bodies can recover so quickly most of the time. Vicki It really is amazing! It always surprises me how doctors often present cardiac issues as "no big deal". Maybe it isn't a big deal to them, because they see it so much of the time, but if it's your family member or friend, then it IS a big deal!

Dani, so happy to hear your Dad continues to do well! What a doll you are to give your Mom a break - I'm sure she needs it! Can't believe you're also finding the time to ship out so many orders - got one yesterday, and another's on the way... Thanks for being such a great guy - its what makes your business so successful! Dani it is sure good news to hear that your father continues to do well. Encourage your mother to take some time for herself. The last thing anyone wants is for her to be ill. Have fun watching the game.

When I was pregnant with the kids, I was high risk with mulitple issues. The doctors were always so casual about the problems when I was freaking out. I was glad that they were calm, but sometimes I wished they seemed just a little bit concerned! Michelle
