Another night of Trick or Treating has come and gone. My kids were happy with their haul--they got TONS of candy. For the first time ever, I don't have pictures of both of them together. DS left for his party before DD was even dressed. DS went as a football player (big surprise!) and DD is the Shopaholic. She is the one in the pink jacket with all the bags. Big Dog is in the picture, too. She had on a skeleton tee with dog treats showing in the tummy area. ;D

Those are great pictures, AND excellent costumes! We haven't had many TOTers tonight...most of them middle school-aged, and a few who were taller than I am (5'8")! I had a difficult time giving candy to a couple of these "tall guys", because they were dressed as airplane hijackers! My kids would NOT have gotten out the door if they had been dressed like that! Other than that, it's been a nice evening! Happy Halloween, everyone!

My girls liked dressing up as old women, scarecrows, hobos, they would make their own costumes.....Oh the memories! Thanks for sharing your pictures Michelle. Cat

Vicki, I love your witch costume! And Alice is so cute! And I love the old BDUs. We have a few sets of those around our house! DD was considering wearing them, but she is 4'10" and 80 lbs. DH is 6' and 200 lbs. I was worried she would get lost in them.
We didn't get many TOTers. We are on a cul de sac with a long dark drive. I guess it wasn't worth the trip. So the candy is going with DH to work today. I can't be trusted with opened candy in the house!

Michelle, your kids looked great. I wasn't feeling well yesterday and when it dawned on me that it had been dark for awhile, I realized we forgot about tot'ers. I felt so bad. Not many people on our street hand out candy and always liked having the kiddos stop by and now I have all this candy. No way am I eating it all, lol. I'll have to make hubby take it into class tomorrow. And the bdu's, lol, hubby was so afraid he wouldn't fit in them anymore, lol. He was too lazy to order a costume while I was gone so that's what he was stuck with. Kids said he looked lame, lol. Vicki

Cindy, I love it! We are big Mario fans in this house. I'm surprised that they still dress up at 16. They do here as well. I was sad thinking it would be DS's last TOT event, as we will have moved by next year and who knows if the high schoolers go out in the new area? But I think it's a fun night for kids of all ages.
Vicki, you have lots of fur babies! I love their costumes!

The kids posted here all have much better costumes than any of the (roughly) dozen that we saw last night! Vicki...the doggie costumes are great, and I think that the banana split is my favorite!

Thanks! Hubby said they were mortified but I told him I didn't care cause it was all about me Vicki Big Dog didn't mind her costume a bit. She wears a scarf around her neck most days and has a life jacket and a winter jacket. (she has super bad arthritis) But she gets excited when she sees the jackets because they mean she's going swimming or out for a walk. She's such a gentle giant that they don't bother her. She's goofy like that! Michelle

My 16 year old only went because he was at a party. He usually wants to hide in the bushes and scare the little kids. We actually had a lot of older Trick-or-Treaters. I was happy to see that. The little kids are the cutest though. Little Darth Vader, little Snow White, little Tinker Bell-- so very cute. I do love the Little doggies- I wanted to dress my 106 lb German Shepherd named Vader as a pony with a Pretty Pretty Princess on his back but..... Cindy

Cindy--106 lbs! Oh my! But wouldn't that have been a funny costume. It would need to be Princess Peach to keep with the theme.

Big Dog will wear ANYTHING you put on her--except boots. Even the bulky life jacket. She loves that thing! When I put boots on her, she lifts a paw up and just looking at you with this pitiful look on her face. I thought it would help because snow gets in the pads of her feet and it's uncomfortable for her. But nope, she won't wear the boots!

Cindy, I have a German Shepherd and tried to put little booties on him, but he would not have it. LOL Hugs, Mila Yes I would have a fight on my hands if I tried to get him into a costume!! When he goes to the vet I have to muzzle him and that is a wrestling match. I love him to pieces!!! He loves me too Cindy PS he is pictured in the OSST challange with the single picture using orange, purple, green with the squares around the picture. He is in the pool.
