Sometimes i will use a fluffy glitter by Martha Stewart, Stickles, White Flocking Powder, then there is another item, the name escapes me right now but it is like a paste and then gets hard when it dries.

I use furry paper. It looks like fur/fuzz/suede. I love that stuff! For those of you who use flocking powder--how do you apply it? Last week when I was working on my DT projects, I tried Martha Stewart Flocking Powder. Major FAIL. It looke more like mold than fur or snow. I used both "The Best Glue Ever" and Tacky Glue. I tried just sprinkling it on and patting it into the glue. The results weren't much different. Mold. Gross! But I'm in love with Martha glitter. I have the tinsel glitter and the fine glitter and I love them both. It applies beautifully, covers well and stays on. I just bought a few new colors yesterday. Michelle Michelle

you can use the furry vinyl for the Silhouette. I have it in black, tan and white - that pretty much covers most furry creatures.
I also use the flocking stuff and the flower soft. Sometimes glitter too - just depends what I think of first.

Michelle Michelle I got a bottle of tacky glue - pretty cheap and I got it at WalMart. I put a layer of it - not too thick - on my item and then dumped the flocking stuff on top. patted it down pretty good. shooked the excess off and then dumped the flock back on and patted it down again. Shook it off and was done. I tried several kinds of liquid glue and didn't have much success. The tacky glue worked for me.

I have tried flower soft and flock but never had any luck with either. I don't think I tried it with tacky glue. Will have to give that a go. Has anyone tried flock or flower soft with stickles glitter glue?

I'll have to try the reapplication method and see if that helps. And maybe a white background. I was trying it on the paper bag and it just didn't work.

Has anyone tried flock or flower soft with stickles glitter glue? Nope, haven't tried it with stickles before. I found the tacky glue to work the best for flower soft and flock. I did do several applications though. I do the dump, press, shake and repeat method a couple of times until it is fully covered. I just did all my Thanksgiving cards with an autumn tree - mixed three colors of flower soft and I had to do my method about 3 or 4 times to get it full covered.

I have a friend who uses a lot of Flower Soft on cards, and she swears by the Flower Soft PVA Glue, which Dani sells.
For a snowy look, I still think that Fun Flock has the best look. I've used whatever glue was handy at the moment... usually Aleene's Tacky Glue (in the brown bottle), although I have also used Elmer's Glue when I was desperate.
The Silhouette fuzzy vinyl is okay for snow, too, especially if the area is small, but doesn't look as much like snow on a big area as Fun Flock does.

didn't Duncan/Tulip have a dimensional paint once upon a time?? It was textured paint that I used when I used to make dolls etc. I do not know how it would do for paper and/or if it was acid free but it came in a bottle with a snowman on it. You would blob it on and it kept its shape like lumpy snow.

DecoArt has a product like that - that you just blob on and it dries all lumpy like snow. It is called Snow-Tex and you can usually find it with the Christmas ornaments this time of year. I have a bottle in front of me and I don't see anything on it about being acid free.

I bought some stuff in a tube that looks like snow. I'll have to look to see what it's called. But I don't think it looks much like snow. Just lumpy white stuff.

Snow-Tex that is the stuff i see at M's, i have never tried it though. Maybe I will have to pick some up this year.
For flock sometimes i will use my glue gun, because it dries with dimension and very quickly. Other times i will use Glossy Accents.

Mila
