Just wanted to show the place cards I am making for Thanksgiving. For the past few years I have been making the name cards for Thanksgiving and Christmas. =)
Here are the directions:
Cut 4" wide by 12" long strip of pattern paper
Using Fiskars Threading Water Punch, punch entire long edge
Accordion fold the paper. I don't have the Martha Score Board so this is what I do: Fold paper in half. Take one end and fold it to the half. Keep meeting the folded edges until you have folds that are every 2 holes. Do this on the other side. If you have the score board I would score after every 2 holes.
Cut a piece of cardstock 4"x2.5".
Along the 4" side right at the edge attach lots of glue dots. I had about 8 on my piece.
Open the accordion fan fold and starting in the middle attach one side and then the other. This will hold the fan fold together.
Cut the 3rd and 4th Nesting Flower dies using two shades of brown.
On some of the accordion fan folds attach glue dots. Then press down the larger nesting flower.
Cut out a beak and the dangly thingy of the turkey and attach to the smaller flower die cut. Add googly eyes (I used glue dots).
On the back of the small flower die (the head) attach regular scrap adhesive (I used my hermafix tabs) and secure the head to the larger body nesting flower.
There ya go!
I am going to make a small name card to place by the Turkey.
I saw this on another scrap site and was like I so need to make these. She didn't list instructions but this is how I made mine. Looks just like hers.
I have 5 more to make! Then I need to come up with my Christmas Eve place cards. =)
