Well last fall DHs sister married an American. Everything was planned quite fast so DH couldn't get off work and we didn't attend the wedding. Now they're visiting my in laws for Christmas and we're going to meet up next week. I've got Christmas presents for everyone in the family but the new husband. I don't want him to feel left out, but I just don't know, what to get him. I need your ideas: What's a nice little present for a 50 yo American guy?

some ideas:
handkerchiefs, golf tees, corkscrew for wine bottle, pocketknife, nail trimmer set, if he has an ipod, an itunes card, little wallet or moneyclip.
those came to my mind.

It sounds like they are coming to you? Meaning you aren't flying. Because that really limits gifts! And that you are looking for a fairly inexpensive gift? (Stocking stuffers for us are smaller and less expensive gifts.) I know my DH would love something German. Wine (you could totally cram that into a stocking! ) or some German food. He is over there once or twice a year on business and always brings back food and wine. If you are thinking that won't work, how about a book, a page a day calendar, a DVD (make sure that it's compatable with American machines--they all are not.) Do you know any of his hobbies? You could go with something there. Hope this helps! Michelle

Dani, I tried that when I was 16. I said I wanted a red convertible for Christmas. Well, mom did come through--with a Matchbox car! I still have that car--it was really funny when I opened it!
