Cat found this recipe for Jenn
Tupperware Sugar Cookie
Cream together 1/2 cup of softened butter 1 cup of sugar Blend in 1 egg 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla (near the last of the 10 minutes)
Beat for 10 minutes until creamy and smooth.
Sift together in another bowl so dry ingredients are mixed 2 cups of all purpose flour 2 teaspoons of baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt
Slowly add the mixed dry ingredients to the butter/sugar mixture.
(Jenn, mix the mixture (after dry ingredients are added) until smooth but don't over beat or mix because it will make the cookies tough....my experience)
Divide dough in half and chill 1 to 2 hours. Pre-heat oven to 375 F degrees
When you are ready to bake (only remove 1/2 the dough and leave the other half to chill) your cookies sift 1/8 of a cup of all purpose flour on counter and roll out 1/2 of your dough to 1/8 of an inch thick and cut your cookies out. bake at 375 F for 8 to 10 minutes (cookies should be lightly browned on the edges when done) When you are ready to cook the second half of the dough sift another 1/8 of a cup of all purpose flour down before rolling the dough out. (the directions had a note on the bottom saying the extra sifted flour on the counter will mix in as you roll out your dough, sometimes with some left over)
