I just saw the Old Revolution making the comeback. BUT was the price steep.

you are correct Dania! But remember the LC/QK has also made available the replacement gears. You have to order those from them directly - but for only a couple of bucks + shipping you can have extra gears on hand for "Revolution emergencies".

Yes and since I heard that I took mine out of the closet and called my girlfriend since hers is broken. Thankfully mine is still going strong. I have been using it to cut my daughter's sunflowers and I'm almost done. I think I have about 100 to go. What a tedious process this has been. The price tag just made me thankful I still have mine.

Oh, me!!!!! I just saw the price on that! I agree with Susan...buying the replacement gears makes a lot more sense at this point. I wonder if the price will come down (as it did before), if the demand is high, and they decide to manufacture more of them when the current stock is depleted.

oh there are plenty who will want the Revolution. New crafters, reinvigorated scrapbookers, etc. I have no doubt that the supply they made will soon be gone. We were told that when this batch of machines is gone - they're gone. This is a limited supply made by the previous manufacturer. When they're gone - that's it. No more. I am considering buying one for my mom, as she is a very V-E-R-Y basic crafter, and the Rev is just her speed. Small, cute, simple, practical. She is hitting a "big" birthday this year - so it'd be fitting I think {I'm not willing to give her mine, it's tucked away in storage...but it's MINE! LOL}

And don't forget about the magnetic platform. For me, that's what makes my love affair with the Rev go on and on. Nothing slides around and I makes it so easy to line things up. The Rev will always be my first love!

The revolution always reminded me of my small antique featherweight singer sewing machine! So cute!

The Rev has always been my favorite machine, and if I didn't already have more than one , I'd likely be out there robbing the virtual bank (once again) to purchase one. Yes, the magnetic platform is such a "perk" on that machine. If only the Epic had such a great reputation....(sigh)

Karen, I love my feather weight, too! I never even thought of that. But the Rev does have a classic look. Maybe that IS why I like it!

I love it and I which they wouldn't stop making it. It is just the right size to fix on my scrap table. And even though I have been using my Sizzix the Rev cuts QKs better.

Are they bringing back the 12" platform too??? I have one but would like another (just in case) and my sister needs one. The Rev reminds me a that little sewing machine too Cindy BTW-- what is the retail? I have not checked yet.

where do I go to order extra gears?? Go to the Lifestyle Crafts website, and contact them there...they'll send you the information about replacement gears...they're about $1.00 a piece, plus modest shipping. You'll probably be able to see the Revolution machine and the price there as well.

You may need to use the QK website for now. If you don't have any luck with the L website, try the QK one.
I think they were $1 a gear, there are 4 gears and shipping is $5. If I'm remembering correctly!

The Rev is the best! I really thought that the Epic would just be a wider Rev, but no such luck!! Like you guys, I love, love, love that magnetic platform. At least the replacement gears are out there now. I really should order some, "just in case." I'm figuring LC will come out with a new machine at some point, and since they seem to appreciate how fond we all are of the REV, maybe it will be a worthy successor. Sure hope so!

The 12" platforms they also brought back, but those are not in such a limited supply as the Rev tools. So I"m not sure where the cases are from - maybe the site you looked at happened to also have an old inventory of empty cases?!?!

OK I found the website. The tool with the 4x4 is $95.99 (Retail $119.99) and with the 4x8 platform the priced is $149.99 (Retail $199.98) The case is $23.00. I got mine when they first came out and I paid something like $80 and the case was included.
