Ok, I know of all the things that you are supposed to do to make it snow--put a spoon under your pillow, flush ice cubes down the toilet, wear your PJs inside out... But does anyone know what to do to make it STOP snowing??? Oh, and I forgot to add that both Bunco and Book Club were canceled this week as well! Enough already! We've had over 50 inches of snow so far this winter. Two blizzards. The ice dams are causing the roof to leak and flooding in the basement. And yep, you guessed it. It's snowing again. The kids have a snow day, I can't get Big Dog to her vet appt, my physical therapy appt was canceled and DH is stuck in New Jersey. What were the pilgrims thinking??? Maybe my kids are secretly flushing ice cubes down the toilet hourly? I'm off to my studio to pout and pretend I have the house to myself.

I hadn't heard of those tricks to make it snow! Ice cubes down the toilet, eh?? So if that works, what would make it stop snowing and be sunny? A cherry bomb down the toilet? (Hmm, maybe not.. ;D) SUNflower seeds down the toilet? HOT peppers down the toilet? Come on, Divas, help me out! I'm dying here. Gail

I just picked 814 bushels of lemons and grapefruit last night before my book club...it'd probably be risky to try flushing one of these guys down...but maybe the seeds??? Come on sunshine...give the East Coast a little love this weekend!

I am so envious of your citrus fruit, Susan! I love lemons and grapefruit. Can't imagine being able to pick it in your own yard! You lucky girl, you. Gail

Maybe just flush the slices, Susan? Love the sunflower seed idea, Gail. I think I have some in the freezer... Do NOT mention book club. I slogged through all 8 million pages of The Girl With The Dragon Tatoo for NOTHING! That book was ENDLESS! Why is it so popular? And then I didn't even get to discuss it. Ok, there's more wine drinking than book discussing at BC--but still!!!

CG, ramen would be worth it. Remember back in the day when I would out spend you when we would go out for the day? I think you could give me a run for my money now! Ok, I must say, we live in THE BEST neighborhood ever! It finally stopped snowing and we took Big Dog to the vet this afternoon. When we got home, our driveway was plowed. We have an elderly lady who lives next to us. She must have sent her son over to blow out the driveway. The kids were so happy that they didn't need to shovel! Thank you, Mrs. Joan! We got about 8 inches here. It's fine and powderly and the it's blowing around. When we ran Big Dog to the base for her blood work, we were driving along on roads that were only plowed to one lane. Luckily, I had DH's Jeep! But the sky is a pretty brilliant blue. Now that we are home for the day, we've decided that it's pretty. ;D

Hooray, someone plowed your driveway! And the sunny vibes, I sent to you arrived!
Now, if we could only arrange to relive some old shopping memories! Lucky for me my family loves Ramen noodles. I think they are crazy, but it does have its advantages at grocery paying time.

We were at the commissary today and bought ramen. DD loves them, but after 4 years of college (20 years ago!), I can't look at them anymore!

Ladies, please send some of that moisture here in the form of rain pretty please. All we have had is really cold weather 19 degrees with wind chills below zero (depending on how hard the wind happens to blow....one night 55 miles per hr..... Jimmy Cricket it was cold!) All this cold weather and no moisture is a bummer. We NEED RAIN!!! The lake where Lubbock gets their drinking water has all but dried up....they have resorted to getting water from our wells in the sand hills....when they get those sucked dry we will all be in a world of hurt......Pray for Rain for us Ladies Cat

Isn't it funny how one area can get so much moisture and another area get nothing? Cat, you can have all the snow you'd like!

Ditto on the Ramen!! The first several years of marrige and Ramen-- no more!! Cambells still works and they are on sale sometimes I cannot help too much with the snow biz- maybe a backwards rain dance?? It was 60 today and supposed to be all weekend The only problem is the fog in the morning. Son loved it though- 2 hour delay for school today. Cindy

Hope your area gets some much needed moisture, Cat. It does sound like your area is in desperate need. No extra moisture here in Albuquerque to send your way, though.

Thanks Ladies!!! Really at this point we'll take moisture in any form we could get it. Even snow.... Albuquerque was a pretty dry place when my Aunt and Uncle lived there. They have both passed away, but my cousin still lives there. Her husband use to work for the forest service. I haven't heard from her in awhile to know how the weather has been..... but last I heard it was still a pretty dryplace to live. Cat
