Hi Everyone:
Please forgive me if I placed this in the wrong forum. I have recently purchased a vagabond and I am trying to use it with my quickutz die and nothing is happening. It runs through the machine but it isn't cutting. What am I doing wrong?
Also, this is the first electric die cutter that I have ever used. Is it supposed to suck the platform through the machine or do I have to push it? I'm pushing it right now and that doesn't seem right, however, the directions are not really clear.
Thank you in advance for any advice,
Barbara

Are you using cutting plates for "wafer-thin" dies? These did not come with my machine, but I had them from another Sizzix product. (Just be sure that whatever you're using says that it's compatible with the Vagabond...their website will tell you that). As for pushing it, I've given the plates a very slight "nudge" just to make sure that they're in a starting postion, but haven't had to continue to push on them. My guess is that maybe the cutting plates + a thin (QK) die might not be thick enough for it to hold on to it. . When Susan is on the board, she probably will have the best answer for you!

Barbara, Diane is right! You need the Sizzix Wafer Thin Die Adapter. Right now Dani is out of stock of this - but I know he's got them on order so they should be back in stock very soon! The Vagabond is made to work with Sizzix dies - so the 2 clear plates and the white platform are so the Sizzix dies will run through perfectly. In order to shim up the difference in thickness you need the Wafer Thin Adapter. It's white and has the instructions for the "sandwich" on it. I finally got mine the end of January and it makes the Vagabond work PERFECTLY with all of my QK dies - 2x2, 4x4, 4x8 fonts and all of the borders. I am doing a video tutorial on Tuesday with the Vagabond - so you'll see how wonderfully it works. Once you have the adapter in place, all you do is "nudge" the sandwich into the Vagabond like Diane said. The machine grabs the stack and does the rest! It's just dreamy!! So let's find you an adapter plate - I'll send Dani an email today - and find out when they're due in. Until then - keep your Vagabond out of the sunlight and nice and warm {LOL}, it's like the calm before the storm. Rest it up because once you get your final piece you're going to be a die-cuttin'-fool!!!

Barbara, like Susan and Dian have said the Wafer Thin Die Adapter will change your life! Your QK/LC and Nesties will be flying thru your Vagabond and onto your projects!

Pixie, you will love, love, love your Vagabond! It cuts so beautifully (and quietly!). I've owned a bunch of die cutting machines, starting with the original Sizzix, and this is the best by a mile! Once you have the wafer thin die adapter, you'll be able to cut any die on the market with it. Gail

I will add the items to the site this week as soon as I get confirmation that Sizzix has them in stock.
