You need TWO cutting pads, but one you already have with your Epic. Right?!?! Or am I wrong...did the "new" mats get changed enough that you need TWO of the for-sale-individually pads?

Good question. Does the Epic still come with a cutting platform or just the flex mat. When I bought my Epic in December 2009, it came with the thinner, rigid cutting mat. Because my cutting platform has the thin shim glued onto it. I had to buy two of the thicker cutting mats to cut Sizzix dies.
It's so confusing!

I do not know about the new Epic packages but the one I have came with the hard, clear cutting mat. When I sent it back for them to fix the gears (it was not cutting) they sent it back to me with the shimmed platform and the flex mat. They kept the clear cutting mat.  Cindy |
