I am pretty sure the new American Crafts trimmers are due in June...there were three of them - different sizes. And I think a slide blade and a rotary blade...I'll have to check. But i'm fairly certain June is what I have in my mind. I'm all over them when they show up because my Creative Memories trimmer is on its last leg. I'm about ready to drag out the cutting mat and the xacto knife!!!

Thanks Susan, I will be keeping an eye out for them! They can't come soon enough for me!
I am embrassed to say what I have spent on trimmers looking for a good one!

I'm right there with you Karen. I get one that I like and my husband will use it for something and it's not right after that. He's inherited a bunch of them yet he still wants to use mine.....

I am so discouraged with my Fiskars trimmer- UGH! ... Karen Which Fiskars trimmer do you have, Karen? I have a Fiskars Sure-Cut (the one with the wire guide, which Michelle uses) which I love. I haven't had any problems with the wire stretching or distorting, and it's very accurate. It's the best trimmer that I've ever had!

I have the same one, Diane, and I agree. Had mine at least a year now and it still cuts beautifully. The AC trimmers did look great, though. Think there were two with slide blades and one rotary blade. too bad we have to wait so long to see them! Gail

I have the one with the wire and I do love that feature but if I use the bottom grid, the cuts are not as straight as the ones I use from the top grid.
The blade didn't last very long - now have jagged edges - after 4 months.
I will say it has been my favorite of my trimmers.

Karen! Change that blade!
I change my blade about every 4 weeks, if not more often. You need a sharp blade to make nice cuts, and I think it sort of "pulls" the paper off kilter if it isn't sharp.
How long have you had your trimmer? I think the Fiskar's kind need to be replaced every year or two. I've had mine for about a year and I think it still cuts well. It's by far my most favorite trimmer that I've ever had. And I'd bet money that I've had over 10 different trimmers. But that's been my experience with Fiskar's--they just sort of get out of wack.
There's one called a Cutterpillar (not Cutterpede) that is getting great reviews. But it's big and I like the platform of the smaller Fiskar trimmers. It will be interesting to see that Am. Crafts trimmer in a few months.

Hello,
Creative Memories has a rotary trimmer which is great and they keep coming out with new blades. The strip you cut on is replaceable and with the blades, you have a good choice of options. I love mine, and just got one for my sister to use too.

This could be a good option. I like all the different blades--esp if I was making a bunch of decorative cuts.
