DD and I are planning to get up and watch the Royal Wedding on Friday morning. Mom and I got up and watched Charles and Diana get married and I remember it being really magical. I was only a year older than DD.
We are having tea and scones and maybe a rasher of bacon. It's going to be a long day for us!
Anyone else watching?

I am definitely watching. I may have to record it and watch later. I will be seeing it at some point in the day though. Can't wait. Oh, and I think I need my tiara. I will make my boys "Hail to the Queen" all day. Now I am even more excited!

DD has several tiaras in her dress up trunk and I know there is a feather boa in there as well! She will roll her eyes, but I love to bug the kids like that!

Oh sure, spill the beans, that my tiara is a "Hello Kitty" tiara. I don't care, I think it still demands plenty of respect, befitting a Queen! I will wear a boa too. Great idea! I am sure the boys will roll their eyes. I enjoy doing that to my kids too. I figure it makes up for all the stuff they said in public when they were toddlers.

See, Crafty Girl does like **PINK** And Hello Kitty! Yep, my kids (esp DS) embarrassed the heck out of me when they were young. I'm just repaying the favor. And I tell them that all the time! If they act up now, I just threaten to show up at the bus stop in my pjs. Straightens them right up!

I won't be watching the wedding. I did watch Charles and Diana's wedding but I have lost a great deal of respect for the British Royal Family. I so wish them much luck and a wonderful life together.

Well, evidently DD was too excited. She got me up at 5:15 am. Mom! We're missing the wedding! She couldn't wait until 5:45 to get up. They are in the carriage on the way back to the palace now. It was a lovely wedding and the dress is quite simple.

I had my snowman pjs on--and my tiara. ;D DD hid the one I was going to wear, (she was embarrassed! ) But I found her Little Mermaid tiara--the joke is on her! I'll put the lemon curd recipe up. It's really not lemon curd, but that's what we call it. And it's simpler than real lemon curd. It makes a wonderful dessert over shortbread flats or in mini tarts topped with a single raspberry. It's super yummy!

I'm way behind, just got finished watching the Wedding. What a lovely wedding. I teared up, thinking as a Mom, it was sad his mom wasn't there. Some of his facial expressions are so much like Diana. Those are 2 very handsome young men her and Prince Charles have. But could we discuss some of those crazy hats, lol. Vicki

Those hats! Did you see the one Beatrice was wearing? She couldn't even sit up straight in the car back to Buckingham Palace! www.people.com/people/package/gallery/0,,20395222_20485864_20943755,00.html And then Eugenie--I think even the Queen wouldn't wear a frock that frumpy. It didn't flatter her a bit.

I heard somebody say that at least her hat had holes in it in case you were seated behind her you could see through them, lol. And Victoria Beckham, how did that hat stay on her forehead, lol. But swoon, her hubby, he looked sooooo good! Vicki

I finally watched a bit of it last night. They really look happy. Her mom looked a bit concerned or maybe just nervous for what is ahead for her daughter.
