If you're on the board right now, or in the next hour or so, please send good thoughts and prayers in Dania's direction...I'm watching live TV of Tarrant County, TX, which includes her city of Flower Mound...there are some of the ugliest storm clouds that I've ever seen, and I've seen plenty of potential tornado clouds forming (I grew up in a small town in Kansas that was ripped in half by a tornado).
Take care, Dania!

and to all the people in Oklahoma. Such devastation. Vicki And Joplin is under another tornado watch/warning...there's huge concern that not many will know because there's no electricity, functioning cell towers, etc. Whatever happened to "normal" seasonal weather...whatever that is?

Hubby has an Aunt & Uncle living in Joplin......they were safe in the cellar when the tornado hit..... their home is all but gone.....(it was about a block from the hospital that was hit so hard).... Rain ruined what little was left. We are very thankful for their safety.......our information is 3rd person because cell/phone service is still sketchy. We are praying for their continued safety. Prayers for everyone who has lost their homes &/or love ones.

Cat...I'm so sorry to read about your DH's aunt and uncle, but glad to read that they are alive!
And I just got an email from Dania...she's home alone, in the closet with her dogs, listening to sirens going off, and only marginal electronic service (none on her iPhone, but apparently her computer is operational).
We are expecting more thunder/hailstorms (we've had them the last 2 nights), but nothing at all like the midwest...no complaints here!

It was a little tense around here last night. I live in the town next to Flower Mound, which is Lewisville (there is no separation between the two towns, on runs into the other). Ugly sky, tornado alarms were going off somewhere, but I 'm not sure where. Probably Flower Mound. Lots of wind and rain, a bit of hail at my house but nothing big.
Thanks for the prayers, we needed them.

Thoughts and prayers going out to all of you in the path of the storms. So glad to hear Dania and Pixie are safe and sound. Cat, your aunt and uncle are in my prayers. Thank goodness they survived. Power is out in Virginia Beach, but that's nothing compared to what happened in the Midwest! Stay safe, everyone! Gail

Thank you girls! Your prayers were answered. We had sirens and this was the first time the police called our homes telling us to take cover. It was scary. And Diane the only thing I had was my Iphone. It was telling me there was no service, but I guess the emails went anyway. Thank you for contacting me, because it kept my mind off what I couldn't control. you all. I pray this is the end of the Spring storms. I haven't heard the news yet today and praying no once got hurt last night.

Thank goodness all of you are safe!
Apparently there are all kinds of apps for iPhones/Droids, etc. that allow a person to notify contacts after a disaster, even if there isn't any service available. Probably worth checking out, given all of the crazy weather lately!

Oh my gosh Dania! I had no idea you were alone last night. I'm so glad the storms passed you by.
Cat, so sorry to hear about your hubby's aunt and uncle. I will keep them in my thoughts and prayers and everyone else that was hit so hard in Joplin.
Barb, I'm glad you are alright and the storm passed you by too. The weather this season has certainly been scary.
