Met a Scrapyland customer at a crop today

Was at the LSS 2 day crop and was talking to a new friend and she said I get most of my stuff online at Scrapyland. Oh my gosh, I about fell on the floor, lol. I told her yeah, my hubby "complains" about all my Scrapyland purchases, lol. It was so nice meeting a fellow Scrapyland fan! She said she patrols the message board so if you see this Sheila, come out and introduce yourself. She's awesome!

Hi everyone, I'm Sheila and you have convinced me to take the plunge and join in the fun. It was great meeting Vicki at the crop but also intimidating as we sat across from each other and I think she finished about a gazillion great pages while I managed to glue some paper on some mini album pages. ;D I decided to get into scrapbooking about a year and a half ago but so far, all I've done is buy scrapping stuff and organize it! Hopefully, some day I will be able to make pages half as good as what Vicky was turning out!

Vicki is awesome--she does beautiful work. But Susan is right--we aren't competitive here. I love seeing all sorts of skill levels/techniques/craftiness. Sometimes I spend hours on a page and other times I knock one out in a half hour. That's why I love this craft--you can do whatever you want!

I think you'll enjoy making Susan's Blox. That's how I got started here. I'd been lurking and doing her Blox for awhile, then decided to E-mail her a thank-you. In her friendly, slightly pushy, Susan way, she encouraged me to submit some pages. I did, and here I am 11/2 years later! My scrapping has improved by leaps and bounds due to Susan and all the wonderful Divas who share their ideas, tips, and tricks.

This is a wonderful, supportive and creative environment. You'll be glad you took the plunge! Looking forward to getting to know you! Gail

I'm so glad you joined in Sheila. The ladies here are so talented and helpful and of course they are great enablers. We all love buying and organizing, lol. Keep coming to the local stores crops and I want to see the finished mini book. You had a great start on it, very impressed. At some crops I get a lot done and some not so much. I didn't get as many pages done as you think I did, lol. I had just got back from vacation and was so exhausted. I try and make page kits (pictures, paper and embellishments) so I don't have to drag the kitchen sink with me to the crop but that doesn't always work, lol. It was a pleasure to meet you and look forward to talking to you here and seeing you at the crops!

No worries Sheila, I've made very few scrapbook pages ever, cards are my thing, but I love it here. All the ladies are great, and Susan has the greatest blog and Design Team ever.
