My computer, (which is always under the threat of being tossed out the window) is actually linking the video from both the Blog and the MB!  And this is from the machine that has been shutting down every 15 minutes or so for the past couple of days, just because it "feels like it"!  Go figure... |

It's weird--sometimes is will play just fine and other times, it will just buffer forever. Sometimes it even locks up the computer. Really, I blame my laptop. It's 3 years old and the memory is about 75% full. I'm just asking too much from it. I have a bunch of videos loaded that I need to move over to the external hard drive. I just need to find the time to do it. I usually watch your videos on my iTouch. It's much newer and I still have lots of memory left! The videos load just fine on the Touch. |

That "behavior' is so familiar that I wonder if your computer knows my computer! There is an evil little gremlin who lives in my computer! I have a real love/hate relationship with the thing. I think I may know the problem with your computer shutting down. Mine was doing this once or twice a week, always at the worst possible time. Then DS lost a two page essay that he was typing on a remote site, and that was the last straw. Poor kid--he's used to auto save! I Googled the problem and found that it was either a virus or the battery overheating. Hoping for the best, I bought one of those fan/cooling bases that goes under the computer. And it hasn't happened since. So my guess is that your computer is overheating and the safety feature is shutting the computer down. HTH! |

There is a evil little gremlin in every computer I touch. ....they all act crazy.  ....  .AND I know It couldn't possible be anything I DO  At least that's what I keep tell myself...................................... .my son and computer tech at work ( ::)I think I seen eye rolls from them both) .....no that's impossible   Cat |

Just an update... I took Michelle's suggestion and purchased a fan to cool the battery in my laptop, and things are now moving along smoothly! Well...there's still a gremlin who is still occasionally messing with my email, but I think it's largely to do with the fact that my server just "improved" their email format. Why, I ask, must they "fix" it, when it isn't broken? But I'm just happy that my lap and my computer are no longer feeling the heat! Thanks for the information, Michelle! |

Glad that I could help! It's not often that I have any sort of computer knowledge.
Do you use Comcast for your email? Because I do and they "improved" it and I hate it! I couldn't get on yesterday through Internet Explorer and finally got in with Google Chrome. And the kids have email accts under my acct, but now we all have to log in separately. Before we just clicked on the right name. I guess that's good if I didn't want the kids in my email, but I don't care if they use my acct. I just want to keep an eye on all the mail they are getting/sending out! I can still do that, but it's a few more steps now.

I rely on everyone else for any computer knowledge that I need...I'm the "Last Computer Illiterate" on the planet, and I plan to keep that title! ;D We have Yahoo, and you couldn't possibly hate Comcast any more than I hate the "new" Yahoo! It has issues with Internet Explorer, too. Everything was fine before the upgrade, and I would switch to something else if it wouldn't be such a total nightmare to let everybody know! GRRRRRRRRRRR!  |
