I have been bored all day so I have been clearing out some things. I can not believe all the stuff I can pack into this one little room. Scrap/chinacloset room. Use to be my dining room. I have decided I am getting rid of things that I have not used in yrs. Who knows maybe I will have room to buy more Stuff lol Happy Saturday everyone Suzanne

I worked on the recipe layouts for Gail's swap for a while...and found one MAJOR error on the recipe cards (after they were glued down, of course). I'm not totally happy with the "fix", but DH says it will work ("This is just paper, isn't it?" he said! : I decided it was time to take a break, and discovered that the fawns were back! There were 2 moms and 3 babies...I'm assuming 2 of them were the ones that were born in our yard about a month ago. That took care of any more work...they played "chase" for about half an hour, until their moms decided they'd eaten enough of the plants in our yard (and the neighbor's bird feeder!) I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Diane, what a great way to spend some time! The scrappy stuff is always there, but watching fawns play is a rare treat! Don't worry about the "fix" for your recipe.... I'm betting it's more obvious to you than it will be to anyone else. It seems like we're always most critical of our own work! Have a great weekend, everyone! Gail

Sounds like everyone's been having a nice uneventful (i.e. calm) weekend! I spent a million hours agonizing and eventually finishing my DT3 submissions while my hubby kept our son occupied. Today, we all slept in and then slowwwwly got ready to go see Transformers 3 in 3D. I am happy to report that this is the first movie our son has ever watched in the theater and he was very well-behaved. We had a nice, relaxing day! I haven't seen any fawns or moose lately, but there was an orange kitty in the backyard a little bit ago.

nikki! we live in the boonies in rural saskatchewan so i have pics of the deer eating out of the bird feeders, there are what some of us call pet fox wandering around the houses and there are a lot of moose, deer, herons and believe it or not pelicans ;D and lots of other wildlife and fowl - we just never seem to have the camera when we see them! we need to start to keep one in the car, and say that every time we miss a good shot it is baby season so lots to see if you are lucky, mums are very protective! and keep them very well hidden what was the movie like?

Great movie! I think they did right by changing the lead female actress. But in my opinion, it actually ended up being the best of the three. I would love to be out in the country, just sitting by a window with a good book watching the wildlife come and go-heaven!

I'm saving my movie dollars for Harry. Only 5 more days! DH and I are talking about seeing the midnight showing, but the kids don't want to go. Party poopers! We had bunnies in the yard today. One was so tiny--just an itty bitty thing. Luckily Big Dog doesn't bug them. She caught one years ago and got scolded for it. She's such a pleaser--she nicely put it down and it hopped off. I can't believe she didn't kill it. She just carried it around with her. But now she leaves the bunnies alone. Now the chipmunks are another story. She can't catch them; she's too slow. But she sure does try! In her younger days, she caught one. The kids saw it happened and came in to tell us, "Ewwwww... she touched it with her tongue!" I didn't have the heart to tell them that she not only tasted it, she ate it.

Yesterday I worked all day on my recipe pages-- so fun
Then today we spent the day at the water park for my nephews 1st birthday!! It was a perfect day for it- warm enough to be in the water but not too hot to be miserable.

Loving all the wildlife stories!
We have a mamma raccoon and her three tiny babies this year. She eats the birdseed that's on the ground while the 3 little ones play. They are a riot! They love to get into our ground level birdbath - it's like toddlers in a wading pool! ;D
I LOVE Harry Potter! Used to go to the opening show with my Mom, and it was a great time... Since I'm going by myself this year (DH just isn't into it!), I'll probably wait til next week. Gail

I haven't posted in a while because this has been an event filled summer, which is not really my style! Last week i went to Washington DC with extedened family and had a bittersweet celebration of my Dad's life (he passed away in February). He was just now buried at Arlington National Cemetery with full honors. It was such a very special time. I caught my breath & now we are getting ready for our oldest son's wedding in 12 days. I have been busy designing and creating 48 place cards for the rehearsal dinner! This part is very fun! Selecting the dress & shoes not so fun!!! Our last summer event is a remodeling project. Three weeks after the wedding we are filling in our indoor pool (really not a glamorous one) & creating 2 rooms in its place. The indoor pool was great for our autistic son when the boys were younger, but now he loves the hot tub (water is vital therapy for him). The really good news is that I will use one of the two rooms for my craft room. (Dani knows i have a few toys that need to be used!!!) Jeff is tired of looking at my messy smaller room! I can hardly wait to get settled into the new space. So, those are a few of the reasons I haven't been checking in very much lately. This is still the best group & I will be back shortly. The end is in sight! susie ps. Susan, What is up with your teasing post?!!!? I will be watching for your reveal!

Susie, I'm so sorry about your Dad. It's so hard to lose a parent, but it sounds like you had a nice ceremony. I've been to Arlington many times and each time gives me goosebumps. It truly is holy ground. But the rest of your summer plans sound exciting!

Bridal shower for BFF, then headed to the local beach with muncky, prepareing for vaca road trip, got groceries, etc. All in all though it was a nice weekend, and i am so ready for Wednesday. It is a 2-day work week for me this week can't wait!!

Harry Potter is definitely next on my list! I work nights 7 in a row and won't be able to be there at midnight, then next week my son and I leave for NC, but I'll work it in somehow!
Smash book, eh? How are those? I've been eyeballing them. I think it would be perfect for our vacation this year but I gotta find the money first. They look a lot like things I made growing up, probably like a lot of us, so I think they'd be awesome.

We watched HP #3 tonight. We need to step it up to watch all the movies before the release! We are seeing the movie Saturday afternoon. DH has a huge inspection this week for his squadron and I don't think he will be home in time on Friday. So I just made it easier on everyone and got tickets for Saturday.
They are running a marathon this week--1&2 was Monday night, 3&4 tonight, 5&6 Wed night and then Thurs night at 9 pm they are showing the first half of 7 and then rolling into the new movie at midnight. It sounds like so much fun, but that's a lot of screen time for me for the week!
