I know there are several Diva's who live around Madison, WI. Is anyone interested in a quick meet and greet mid August?
We will be driving to and from MN next month. I don't have the dates yet, but it would be fun to meet up. We always stop in DeForest (just off the interstate, north of Madison)at the Cheese Chalet for cheese curds and black cherry soda. If you would like to meet up at this glamourous location, please let me know!
And if there are any Minnesota Diva's out there, it would be fun to meet up, too! I think DH and the kids are going to Valleyfair one day. I'm thinking about spending the day shoppping and just send them off for some daddy bonding time. Any good scrapbook stores to check out? I usually go to the Archiver's in Eden Prairie or Maple Grove (my brother lives in Wayzata and Grandma lives in Plymouth), but am willing to venture out. My parents live west of the city, out by Delano, so a Mpls location would work better than a St. Paul location.
Just something to think about. I think we will head to MN about Aug 5 ish and head back to Virginia about the 15th or so. I'm not sure about the dates because I want to get the house settled a bit before we head to MN, but I want to do the MN trip before school starts.

Aww that sounds fun! I know I'm new to SL but being in WI, that would be great! Buuuuuuuut...
I'll be down in North Carolina, lol go figure! It's my annual trip back home. Hopefully some other midwesterners will take you up on your offer though-what a great opportunity!

Hi Michelle, I would love to meet. August is flexible and DeForest isn't far at all! If you were so inclined to stop in Madison I'd love to have you & any others who might be able to join us over for a meal. But cheese curds & black cherry sodas sound great, too! Now, I'm off to Scrapbook Superstore to get some advise on my place cards! I just love this craft. smiles, susie

Susie, is the Scrapbook Superstore still open? Why did I think that closed? Maybe we should meet there... DH may kill me. It's 20 driving hours from VA to MN. We pretty much get in the car and drive. I'll have to think about that one... And you should post your place cards here! We have plenty of advice!

Michelle the Janesville store closed but the Madison Superstore and Madison Archivers are open. I have been to Superstore one time. It is a ways in on the Beltline. Not sure I can meet you. August 7-12 I will be in Henry Illinois at a Retreat. Cheese Chalet is probably 60+ miles from me. It is 60 miles to Madison and then further. Let me know the Exit # and the day you would be there. I would have to see. Not sure it will work this time. Deborah

I like seeing paper before I buy it! Archivers is 8-10 minutes from Scrapbook Superstore and its ok but they don't do special orders or know when things are coming in... But they do have great selections of paper. Both are on the west side of Madison. I'm open to either the Cheese Chalet or Scrapbook Superstore. It will just be fun to put a voice with such an enthusiastic diva! I will post pictures but I am so slow at uploading them it will have to be tonight. I will still be open to comments.... even though they better be done!

Hmmm... that is tempting! Let's see how things go and how the trip is shaping up. It would be better to meet on the way to MN, as we are almost there--only 6 hours from Madison. Party on, Garth. That's all I remember of Madison from my college years.
Deborah, do what works for you. An hour is a long way to drive just to meet some crazy lady off the internet! But I would dearly love to meet you.
And, BTW, I'm so jealous that Susie lives 3 minutes from her LSS! When we move, I will be about 25 minutes from the closest LSS--maybe less, as I will have 3 fewer lights to go through. Just a tiny bit closer!

Well, considering ScrapyLand usually gets 2-3 orders a month and I haven't been to a LSS since April or May, SL is safe with me! But it's nice to fondle the paper every now and then and ohh and ahh over the new stuff. And it's hard to find most die cuts unless it's on the internet. Most of all, the SL prices are the best!

Michelle, As Dani knows I am a last minute person and usually flexible:) Just know I would love to meet if it works for you. Scrapy Land definitely gets most of my dollars.
Fed EX delivered my package from Dani today and I love everything... but still couldn't resist ordering more Spellbinders that Dani put on sale last night! Now I will try & post my place card picture. Ya'll make it look so easy, but I have to review the instructions each time. I'm so slow...
