I know I could probably look it up elsewhere but I'd rather start a conversation here. Is it safe to assume that these are compatible with the Revolution/E6? Jeez, like I need another brand to collect!

any of the Spellbinders dies work in the Epic, the Revolution...the Vagabond, the Big Shot - they are all the same "wafer thin, chemically etched" metal dies. QK=Spellbinders=Scrapy Crafts Die-Versions same thickness, same cutting techniques, same "recipes" etc. Lay 'em down and spin them through!!!

Only exception is the Grand Dies which have dies that are larger and can only be used with the Grand Calibur or Big Shot Pro. Right?

The Grand Dies can cut on an 8 1/2" x 11" paper, and most, if not all of them are "enlargements" of matching smaller nesting dies...for example, the new CHA release has Labels 23 and Grand Labels 23. The Grand dies do require the Grand Calibur machine, which is a bunch of fun, too!

Only exception is the Grand Dies which have dies that are larger and can only be used with the Grand Calibur or Big Shot Pro. Right? {hanging my head in shame} Dani is right!!! SORRY! I always forget about the Grand Calibur and the Grand Nesties because *cough cough* I don't have either! Out of sight, out of mind! The Grand Nesties are MONDO HUGE! 8.75" almost and they only cut in the Grand Calibur OR the Big Shot Pro - Dani is correct! baby steps Nikki, baby steps. get yourself introduced to Spellbinders, and then start using/collecting them. They have some GREAT shapes - love them for making shaped card bases! Luckily the holidays/your birthday/Flag Day and Groundhog Day are all right around the corner. Start dropping hints to everyone you know!!!

And remember, the Grand Caliber will only cut wafer thin dies. So you can't cut the steel dies with it. But oh, the possibilities of all those large dies!

I got the bundle set here when the Grand Calibur first came out. It was my birthday present last year. I love the grand calibur, cuts great and I love the big dies! I even take the grand calibur with me when I go to crops. I get more people looking at it and asking now what is that? lol. Even had a lady drool over it because it's pink and she has to have everything pink, lol. Vicki

One other thing to remember is that some of the larger (but not Grand) dies from Spellbinders are too big for the Revolution, though they will work in the Epic. The S5 dies are often too big for the Rev, so if you only have a Rev, be sure to check the sizes before ordering! Gail

Chili, by "Timmies" do you mean Tim Holtz dies, i.e. Sizzix steel rule dies?? If so, yes, the Big Shot Pro will cut them. It is a huge machine - I think there's a video demo on the Sizzix website to give you an idea. As far as I know it only comes in one color scheme - blue with black. Here's the link to it on the Scrapyland site so you can check the price: www.scrapyland.com/Sizzix_Big_Shot_Pro_Machine_Only_p/656250.htm. Gail

If you cut your "Timmies" (love that, chili! ) with the Epic, you'll need to use NO platform, and sandwich the die between two of the clear cutting mats. I'm not sure if the Sizzix mats are the same thickness as the QK ones are, so go slow the first time, and don't force it if there's too much resistance... Don't want you to ruin your timmies or your Epic!! Gail

Wow I had no idea that there was a Big Shot Pro...OMG..that thing is HUGE! but oooh $$$, but it comes in purple..sigh. Have to wait for dh to finish my craft room remodel then maybe I might have room..will have to start saving my pennies now and maybe do some can/glass recycling. But I really love the idea of cutting larger dies..I guess for now have to keep using my lil cuttlebug..and avert my eyes to all those bigger dies.

I'll admit that I'm spoiled. I let my husband "decorate" the office however he chose, which was with a zillion shelves for his massive Transformers collectibles and everything's black and silver. In return, I got the entire big part of the basement. A 10x30 space just for crafting! It's fantastic. I have fixtures from my store so all the paper is in paper racks and there are bins and buckets and shelves everywhere! So, I have room for the Big Shot Pro... just not the budget!! There's just never enough money for this habit! There's really two addictions: scrapbooking itself, and scrapbook SHOPPING!!!!

LOL MIchelle-for some reason when you mentioned petting the BSP at your LSS, I glanced at your avatar photo and thought, "Yeah, she looks like she would do that!"

Well, I love to visit stores and "pet" a product that I have been considering or wish to have. I can't always tell from an online description or photo just how much I might "need" a new item. And if it is out of budget, I like to visit the item in the store, until I can save to bring it home. Helps me with incentive to save.

I like to visit high dollar tools too.....but most of the time our local store doesn't carry the tools. So I rely on DD#1, SL message board Susan's blog for information. Now if the store has it in stock I'm there with ya'll petting the products. Touching, touching, and more touching so much fun. Cat

I'm glad to hear that there are others out there who like to check out the merchandise. When we lived overseas, most of my shopping was done online. My dreams were filled with visits to Target!
