hi ladies! Happy Saturday night!

I'm a crazy woman today - deadlines and CHA schedules and picture editing for the blog - BUT life had to take a front row seat today because I needed to get some thank you notes off to some people at the University who helped me immensely a few days ago.

So I whipped up some quick thank you notes and got them posted!

THEN - tonight after church my husband was catching up on Ted Talks - don't know if you've ever heard of these but we are totally addicted to them. {we subscribe via iTunes - totally FREE podcast}. Anyway - saw this video tonight and two things struck me...

- the person he is speaking about WROTE A THANK YOU NOTE
- and the underlying theme of his talk "save the shoes"

Watch for yourself...


what I think this made me realize is - when someone is laughing at me because I'm taking a picture of my odometer of my car I'm allowed to poo-poo them! When I'm at the Harry Potter premier at 11:30 pm to take pictures of my daughter and her 20 high school friends so I can email them all the next day the .jpgs, I'm allowed to yawn during a meeting!

SAVE THE SHOES...a somewhat insignificant thing, that at the time this firefighter thought was "less than best" but meant SO MUCH!

so keep taking your pictures ladies. Keep saving those receipts to stick in scrapbooks. Don't worry about writing down trivial events or happenings. Because you just never know WHAT is happening that could really make a different in a person's LIFE!!!!

Sometimes a simple act of kindness or a kind word and smile will change things for someone who is having a really bad day.
