Matthew has been admitted to Children's. Went to the ER yesterday late afternoon and he was admitted to Acute Care last night. He will be having some more GI studies done. He passed a lot of blood through his rectum yesterday. Matthew and my family (Hubby, daughter, and myself) could really use some prayers. I am praying this new scan gives us some much needed answers. Thanks! I will update when I get results. p.s. his spirits are good, he went to the playroom. No fever, no seizures. Just some tummy pain but other than that he is his cute normal self which makes it a litte easier on me!

oh Lorie Ann - sending prayers your way. Hoping your son will be feeling better and comfortable very soon. Also hoping the doctors can give you some answers. Sometimes the unknowing is the hardest part!! Hang in there - sounds like he's in a good place right now!

Positive thoughts and prayers are being sent your way...for your family and also the doctors who are treating Matthew! I agree with Susan...the hardest part is not knowing, so I hope that by the time you read this, you have answers, and that a remedy is already in progress. Take care!

I have my fingers and toes crossed for you and your family and all those involved in Matthew's care! Stay strong and put on your brave face for him! Trust that the healthcare team will get to the root of the problem, but it's agonizing to wait I know. Let us know when you can how things are going.

Thanks so much for posting about Matthew and your family so we can help you all at this time. Sending my love also. I hope you are on the mend as well! Thanks girls! I had a battery of test done to try to find out why I am needing a ton of sleep, several things on my yearly blood test are so out of whack and why I am having trouble remembering things and putting away items in the wrong place. I am scheduled for more tests including a few biopsies, more neurological testing and a longer visit with the cardiologist that I saw when I was in. They feel it may all just be tied to just balancing several blood level indicators but want to be sure as that will take time with a few new foods I have to eat or eat more of as one thing can involve several other factors. I am so blessed that my husband has an excellent benefit package. I am sure this is all God's plan as I had so many opportunities to speak to others of trials I have faced with health that they are now facing. I gave no medical advice of course as I am not a doctor, just hope that I overcame the battles they are facing with trusting God's will. Anyway I really don't want to high jack Lorie Ann's link. When our children aren't well it is so hard. Praying for Matthew and Lorie Ann's Family needs is so important and although I am thankful for each of you Diane and Michelle, I know and trust in God's plan for me and I want this post to stay on focus. Thanks again!
