my middle son asked his girlfriend to marry him tonight and she said YES! Woo hoo  I have known he was going to ask her for several days now and it's been killing me waiting, lol. They are in Panama City visiting her family and will be here on Friday to spend a week with us. We are all so excited and very happy for them.  So glad I could finally share cause I was ready to bust, lol. Vicki |

Thank you! Daughter is already thinking about the engagement pictures, lol. She's itching to take them, I know they'll be gorgeous, lots of scrapping to do!

Congratulations to all of you! We'll be expecting lots of pictures, you know! (Does this mean that if Dani has some terrific release, that you won't be available for a while to drive the get-away car from the virtual bank robberies?  )

what, did you hear something, lol. darn, but it's only a week, Dani wouldn't do that to me, lol. I promise to share pictures. I did ask him to have someone take a picture of them tonight but who knows if he listened, lol.

Thank you Dani and everyone! When her dad was told about the engagement, he said well, I'm not the one that has to marry him. Is that a slam against my son??? I'm thinking I need to go kick somebody's butt. I know he's very lucky to have met her but I feel she is just as lucky ;D Her dad will not talk to him when he's around, I just don't understand not being thrilled your daughter found "the one" and getting to know him. I was so thrilled when my daughter got engaged and we love our son in law. I just hate someone raining on their parade  They are so happy and are trying to put on a brave front but I can tell it is really bugging them. Makes me sad. Vicki |

It takes some people a while to decide that an "outsider" can be granted "insider" status, and then there are those who just don't know how to be nice. Either way, I hope they can look past his attitude and be happy! |

In my case, it was me that my dad felt was getting the better deal.  He still thinks my DH is great--and that's good for us. But sometimes I'd like to be the favored one! Although last night, he told me that he doesn't think DH could drive the houseboat when we are Up North next month. Because the channel in the river is tough to navigate, don't cha know? How is it that the man can fly multi million dollar jets, but can't drive a houseboat through a well marked river? But we've know DH since he was 13 and I don't think you ever really grow up in a parent's mind! So maybe Dad just isn't ready to let his baby girl go? |

okay, i'll let it go for now. I just don't understand not welcoming someone into your family, I say the more the merrier! And I too think most of my family likes my hubby more than me, lol.
