woo hoo! we made it through another week of summer!! Today I have to: - get the BIG SECRET for the blog finished...gulp! - put away/find a home for all of the new Spellbinders that arrived yesterday - get to the grocery store or my son is going to eat the plaster apples on the bookshelf - figure out a menu for the SIX TEENAGED COLLEGE BOUND GIRLIES headed over tonight for a tie-dying marathon-slumber party! - make up six stacks of card make-n-takes, so the girls can "play with paper" and exchange mailing addresses and be all prepared to swap cards the first few weeks of school - laundry? clean clothes are HIGHLY overrated - get cracking on Design Team applications - HOLY SCRAP ladies...you've set a record in that department. I'm SWAMPED!! - find more mint...mojitos are on the mom-menu for tonight! LOL Sooooo - whatchyall got planned for today and this weekend???

Ah the blessed teenagers..yep my son is famous for "what's for dinner" before I can even set my purse down when I get home for work..you are making me exahusted reading all that.
For me I get a full day of play time in my art room..after some cleaning so I have room to play and of course while I squeeze in some necessary chores..but that's what breaks are for, right. Then lucky me gets to go to my mother's for dinner so I don't have to deal with that.
Sunday dh and I are hopefully going to make it to the Gilroy Garlic Festival. I heard Top Chef Angelo is supposed to be there so excited about that. If we don't end up going I will still get more play time..I have too many scrapy/stamping projects I want to get done.

Well, let's see:
Found a few items that Marnie left behind Boxed them up for the post office tomorrow Picked up my spare supplies in my studio that she was using while here Cleared my desk (always have to do this before I start a new project) Finshed 3 items and mapped out the 4 th one. Fit lunch in a little laye! Made a plan for dinner Cleared the dining room table for completing my secret project. Made the grocery and Costco lists
I think that's it. Pat and I will be busy completing my secret project over the weekend.

I am going to be working on my sons birthday invitations. They are Cars 2 themed this year Susan, is Monday the big day for the Design Team reveal? Will everyone be contacted through email? Hugs, Mila as far as DT reveal/announcement...the deadline is tomorrow - I should have really made it today, with the weekend an all it sort of screws up the flow of time...LOL. Story of my life! But emails will go out tomorrow. And assuming everyone can answer me in a prompt fashion - my goal is MONDAY. However some girls are out of town, and they've already told me that. So internet access is sketchy for them...so in all fairness I might end up waiting until late Monday or Tuesday...but it's a wait-and-see kind of thing. Dani is also out of the office on Sunday-Tuesday...so I have to hit him in the middle of travels so we can make final choices. So for right now - I'll just say...definitely emails going out tomorrow. And then final DT III announcement on Monday...or Tuesday! HOORAY! What a big weekend this is going to be!!!

actually I do things a little crazy - HAH - but really it's more so I can make the decisions slowly. I'm a big chicken!! first I will send out an email to everyone - thank you, awesome, wonderful, love ya! then I will send out an email to a certain group - and it's sort of a questionnaire. Just a bit of information I need from everyone - to help in making the decision. There are no right or wrong answers to these questions, it just sort of helps "break ties" in some instances. {for instance - two ladies who are neck-and-neck in skills, ability and talent...but one works full time traveling for the airlines and is only at home 2 days a week...compared to one who works full time at the local library and has access to her email every morning and every evening.} Make sense? So just goofy crazy questions, so Dani and I have a bit more info and can therefore make a better informed decision. then I will send out an email offering the position to the ladies we've chosen...with a run down of benefits and expectations. I will wait for their "acceptance". then I will send out another email {after questions and decisions are made} - thank you again, still love you lots, still totally awesome, etc. it's a long process - but the flow of emails will start tomorrow afternoon {after slumber party girls go home, after tie-dye shirts are dry, after fishing lunch is packed...LOL!} But remember - everyone really is awesome!! I have so much fun looking at projects and getting to know you ladies a bit better through your projects. We have had a record number of applications this time and my mind is blown! This process is going to be very difficult...and I take it to heart. I hate telling some ladies "no thank you" and I hate feeling like feelings might be hurt. Ultimately, Dani helps me make the final decision so we get to piggy-back the task. I'm so excited...while I"m terribly sad that DT 2.0 is done with their term, I am excited about new things coming around the bend!! You all rock!! And I'm flattered that so many of you want to be on this team! I think it says a lot about Scrapy Land and the community that has grown here!!

This weekend I can finally relax on vacation! I am going to be scanning pictures that I went through here at Momma's for most of the weekend. That's.. well, that's pretty much it! I'm going to soak up as much slowpokey North Carolina air as I can until Wednesday! And, all my fingers are crossed that I get those one hundred emails from Susan. And they are crossed for all of you, too, because everyone would be great! How the heck can you only pick three?! Ohmygosh-cool thing-We came across a picture of a very young but definitely the real thing-ELVIS! I'm not a huge Elvis fan but it's so awesome to have in my hand a candid shot of him playing guitar on the street that one of my relatives took! I LOVE PICTURES!!!!

Well so far I have moved everything out of Daughters room and taped the windows and covered the floor and painted one wall (twice). The other 3 tomorrow. Right now all her crap is in my craft room (I mean "stuff") I plan on taking about 15 showers this weekend because I picked to hottest week to paint her room I have been procastinating it all summer so it is my own fault.
