Okay, I can't find where we were all talking about plantar fasciitis/heel spurs but I think the original topic of the thread was something else entirely so I made a new one!
Yesterday I went to one of those fancy shoe stores that sells stuff like Birkenstocks. I hate shopping and I usually buy Walmart shoes so it felt odd. Anyways, Momma made the lady figure out what won't make my heel spurs hurt and Birkenstocks and Mephistos were terrible for me. So then I put on Danskos and I feel like I never had heel pain! The first two brands do not have a heel incline and the Danskos do. She said that some doctors recommend the heel to be lower, some say even with, and others say higher than the rest of the foot. Because I switched jobs recently and the insurance hasn't kicked in yet, I haven't seen the doc to tell me anything one way or another.
So my feet apparently like being high-heeled in a way, and my mommie got me a $150 pair of clogs. lol
I'm scared to wear them because they cost so danged much! But I guess they will last a million years so it's an investment.
The place I went was Comfortable Soles in Raleight. If you gals are having trouble figuring out the right sole profile for your feet, I recommend at least going to a place like that and getting a helpful salesperson to let you test out the different soles and your feet will just know when it's right! She said people with this type of foot issue tend to come to that type of store a lot, so most salespeople should be familiar with how to help them.
I tried the Danskos on and started quoting Forrest Gump.. "These are my magic shoes; Momma said they'd take me anywhere!" lol
Me and my happy feet are going to go take a shower now and wait to see if my Smash book stuff actually shows up this time
