It's personal, now. So a few weeks ago many of you remember my Smashbook package from SL never appearing while I was on vacation. Okay, fine, I ordered everything over again and moved on. WELL My iPhone's been upgraded from a 3GS to a 4, and it is "on the truck for delivery" today. My current one got a "dead zone" in the LCD when I changed the glass a couple weeks ago, and I didn't feel like changing the LCD now too. So anyhow, I've been finding creative ways to use my phone since there's a huge area that doesn't respond. The FedEx guy pulled up in front of my house about half an hour ago. He took out a huge box for a neighbor across the street. I saw him deliver that and head back to his truck. I headed to the door at this point and when I got the dog put away and opened the door, he was DRIVING OFF! He didn't leave me anything. I'm so annoyed, lol. I know it's probably a small box that got behind something bigger, but still. He better find it and get it here today before I go to work so I can activate it and such. Some people's children... *huff*

Well, maybe I just hate them, lol. A completely different driver brought my phone about ten minutes after my post. I think I'll take my meds now and calm myself.

It's ok I see stuff out for delivery, give up and go to bed and it's there the next am. I have gotten a few deliveries after 9pm at night..WTH?!? Oh and forewhatever reason our mail person has decided that since we leave our garage door rolled up a foot for our cat to come in and out..they throw all my USPS Priority packages in the garage??? So how often I pace around wondering where my shipment is and then DH comes in stating "I found this in the garage by my bike"..Come on..how lazy are these people.

Ohh gosh-I would hate it if I wandered into the garage one day and found a pile of stuff I thought got lost! I can already see the list of eBay sellers that would have negative feedback lol. I'm sure they just see it as a place to put it and keep it out of inclement weather, but then they should put one of those sticky notes on your door to let you know. Most people generally don't go looking in the garage for packages!

I've seen as many as FOUR Fedex trucks drive up our street in one day! Where is the logic in that? You'd think maybe they'd want to save on gas, employee time, wear and tear on the trucks... Okay, I'll stop now!

So maybe someone can inform me why this is: package is shipped via Fed Ex and delivered to USPS who then delivers it? It is not like Fed Ex doesn't deliver to our home, because they do I have seen with my own eyes them delivering a package to our front door and even ringing the doorbell.
Anyone have any idea why Fed Ex delivers to USPS for them to make the actual delivery?

My Fedex guy said that some types of packages will arrive on our doorsteps faster if they are transferred to USPS. It depends...somewhat...on the size (but not always). Smaller packages are more likely to go to the post office first. I've noticed that some packages look like they've just been sliding around on the bottom of the truck, and how dirty they've become. It makes me wonder if they've gotten buried under something larger. This doesn't happen nearly as often when they come from USPS.

There is a specific service, usually available only to high volume shippers that somehow saves money to the shipper if Fedex delivers to USPS for them to do final delivery. There are a few places that do this that I know of. I believe I am still too little for this lol
Also Fedex uses different trucks for Express, Ground, Home Delivery etc. so at any 1 time you can have 3-4 different trucks in the same area at the same time. No logic to that but hey I guess it works for them.
