Today, Crafty Girl's husband is deploying to Turkey for 15 months. She has two boys 15 and 13 and they live in New Mexico, far away from family (and me!) If you could spare a moment to give her a virtual hug, I know she would appreciate it. Since everyone was so nice and supportive of my flood issues, I know you will be nice to her, too! I've known CG for 12 years now. Both our DHs taught at the Air Force Academy and our kids were itty bitty back then. Actually, I met her before DD was even born! She's smart, funny, and the best friend ever. And she will do great over the next year and will rise to the challenge. But it's still hard. I just wish we were closer, but home is where the AF sends you! We do email or talk every day, but it just isn't the same. Hang in there, girl! And call me whenever you need to talk. You know I'll be up!  |

Crafty Girl has a school thing tonight and needless to say, she's running ragged already, trying to get dinner on the table and out the door. But she's it helped for her to come home and read the messages. Thanks guys!

Wow, Divas, you are great. Scrapy Land is a fabulous place. Yesterday was a hard day, no doubt about it. It sure helped to read all the positive thoughts and prayers and support. Thank you so much! And Susan a Margarita sounds great. I love Jimmy Buffet and we call them Boat Drinks around here. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Michelle, you are a great friend, thank you for all your support. You may not be close enough for retail therapy together (I think my cc is doing the happy dance over that), but you are close in my heart! PS-I told Hubby, it would be the perfect opportunity to Buy more crafts. Surely, he will need some handmade cards from Wifey!  |

Definitely, he needs some hand-made-with-love cards! And if I know you, you are working on that retail therapy right now.
We should start another Operation Write Home card drive! Would anyone be interested? I'm thinking a deadline at the end of October. Time to make cards and get them off to me before the holiday rush starts.
