Ok so I work, unfortunately but hey need that paycheck. So I am fortunate that I can work from home and telecommute under certain cirmcustances. So yesterday I left work early knowing I would log on and continue to work a critical job until the late evening..so I get home and my internet service is down. So I call my provider, Earthlink and go through their routine steps to say yes it's down and oh by the way they see for my area code there is a network problem. Try again in 2-3 hours or better yet in the am. Ok..I can understand these things..I call back in 3 hours because it's still not working..re-explain that supposedly the area code I live in was having trouble..ah but first we have to go through all the steps again, never mind I did this before or on my own before calling them. Ok ma'am we need to get a level 3 tech..ok now I feel like I am getting somewhere..guy comes back on line..oh I see there is a problem in your area..it will be fixed in 1 hour..guess what at 1:30am it's still not fixed, nor is it working at 5:30am. I didn't have time to call them this am to deal with it..but here is the frustrating part..last night and this am I checked their website for known outages..and it's states.."All Clear"
So now that you read my lifelong chapter..have you ever felt that you were getting the brush off just so they didn't have to deal with you?

Our satellite service stopped working yesterday...it was on/off for a while, and then went down completely in the afternoon. DH jumped through all of their on-screen hoops a few times, and then called them. He got what I would call the snarkiest recording ever...pretty much "We know it isn't working, so please don't bother us!" No information about when it would work again! (It's working this morning). So much for great customer service! They should take lessons from Dani!

All. The. Time.
It makes me crazy. Esp when I know they are lying to me. Ask me about our moving company. Ask me about Verizon. Ask me about Comcast! Ok, maybe you don't really want to know...
I've just spend 6 hours of my life I'll never get back dealing with the water abatement team. The team isn't the problem--it's the landscaping company (who is at fault, as they guaranteed work done in July) that is now telling me they don't want the team there--that they (landscapers) can do it. But yet, it's been 5 days and they haven't done anything. And now today they are offering big industrial fans. Got the run around about if they have big dehumidfiers. Homeowner doesn't want to pay for the professionals and I'm worried about mold growing in my basement. "I think the landscapers can do it." Well, I don't think they will do it as well as the professionals!
I'm happy to say that I won the battle. But it took 6 hours and about a jillion phone calls. I need a nap.
I hope your internet is fixed soon!
