I love Fall and all the great decorations and the fun of Halloween and trick-or-treating! I think the best part is the return of Starbuck's pumpkin spice latte, though. Had one on Saturday morning and was loving life. Then, Saturday night, I discovered the joys of Sonic's Pumpkin pie milkshake. Yummy day!

Sonic--yum! We drove 30 miles yesterday to a Sonic in Fredricksburg. I was really tempted by the pumpkin pie shake, but resisted. I got a diet cherry limeade instead. And that was yummy, too! But DH had to make a Starbucks stop on the way home and bought a pumpkin scone to split between the four of us. It was just enough of a treat. I really love the flavor of pumpkin.

Sniff sniff, we don't have a Sonic near us..maybe that is a good thing..but oh Yes...love Starbucks Pumpkin Spiced Latte and the Frapp...and the scone..and can't wait for the Christmas flavors too..they are all sooooo yummy!
I was getting in the mood for Autumn too and made my version of a carmel apple cupcake..so ready for some cool weather, fall leaves and all the yummy goodies that go with it!
ETA- I already decorated the inside of my house with fall and halloween items..even put up my Halloween village..I need a pick me up and doing some fall cleaning and deocrating for fall did the trick.

I decorated for Fall this weekend too. I had to force myself to wait to break out the Halloween decorations. In retrospect, maybe I should have went ahead with them. It would have saved me having to lug out the decorations again.
It is unseasonably warm here, which I don't like. I would prefer some "crisp" weather so it felt more like Fall. Maybe that is why I am compensating with all the pumpkin food. I have even made pumpkin bread all ready. Yum!

Autumn is absolutely my favorite season (although it doesn't yet feel like it in my neighborhood, which is still seeing 90's)! I love the colors and the snap in the air in the mornings! If any of you have any "extra autumn" floating around, please send it my way! Oh, and a Sonic in the area would be great, too! i316.photobucket.com/albums/mm329/scrapyland/smiley/smilelol.gif[/IMGHappy Autumn, everyone!

alright y'all - just hush!!
96 today - ac still blasting full force, hot in the morning, hot in the evening - ICK! I'm so done with summer!
just had the boy and the dog in the pool - and in the shade sitting on the edge with my feet soaking it was just ever so slightly comfortable.
the thought of pumpkin anything right now makes my brain hurt, becase right now it's too hot to even pretend that it will ever be cool enough to enjoy Starbucks anything!
although - I've never had any of their seasonal flavored drinks. I go in there and order black coffee, then immediately regret doing so, LOL!
now Dunkin - their coffee rocks!!
so call me when it's December - THEN we can talk weather!
LOL

Right now, it's 85 in my house with 88% humidity. We are only surviving by sitting under the ceiling fans. (which I normally hate!) They ripped all the wet drywall out of the basement last week and there is a layer of drywall dust all over the basement. If I turn the A/C on, it will get all through the house. And it doesn't vacuum up--I tried. The only way to get rid of it is to use a damp cloth. And I just don't have the energy to clean this entire house to that degree when this is all over.
I had the front door wide open today and Big Dog kept sneaking out looking for the neighborhood kitties. I had to put up a baby gate to keep her inside!
They start drywalling tomorrow. Oh happy day! They say they will be done by Friday, but I will believe it when I see it. But maybe only another week of this. By then, I'm sure we will have a cool spell. I can only dream...

Aw Michelle! It will get better!! It sounds like there's a light at the end of the tunnel for you! Just hope it goes smoothly! And all I can say is I'm coming to SOMEONE's warm climate house!! I'm not ready for fall!! Okay, truth be told, it's not fall I'm afraid of. It's the w_ _t_r that follows..... Pam

Thanks Pam! I just need to stay focused on just that. I'm so happy that progress is finally being made. It's been slow moving so far.
And I have been thinking about winter. And the lack of it here. Last winter, Boston was just brutal. Over 80 inches of snow and our fuel oil bills were through the roof. I went to the mall yesterday and was happy to be able to spend what I wanted and not worry about paying the bills. Whew! I just need to keep that in mind over the next week or so. And think of all the money I'm saving on A/C! After running 17 industrial fans and 3 industrial dehumidifiers for a week, that will probably be a good thing!

I love the Autumn colors and the normal cooler weather. Although we are having somewhat cooler temperatures it's still hot during the day. Like Pam I dread winter....last winter had enough cold to suit me for a long long while. (after losing all of our pumping to frozen pipes this last winter I can do without those kind of temperatures for a few years) People are still talking about last winter and dreading another winter like last. Michelle had the snow to go with the temperatures and we had just plain cold cold dry winds to go with the outrageous fuel bills. Oh, I don't even want to think about winter.....Autumn is much nicer,,,such pretty colors ladies Cat

I'm pretty excited about Autumn. My husband just met his daughter for the first time last month, and she will be back in town for a visit in October so we are looking forward to that. The colors are already changing on the trees and it's been rainy and windy. AND I love peppermint hot chocolates from Starbucks once in a while!! I wish we had a fireplace to cozy up in front of with a few cards to make, but I also love the warm smell of the heater so any good chair will do! But, like most of ya, I'm dreading the next season!! It drags on forever in Wisconsin! It's been getting worse here each year. Christmas will be fun though, with a new daughter and all. I'm excited about the cooler weather!

Whew, there is definitely some hot temps going on around the country. I thought it was too hot here with it in the mid-80's. I guess, that is what happens after growing up in colder temps!
I am with Cindy, some Fall Blinkies would be fun! The weather may not be cooperating everywhere, but some pumpkin food, decorations and blinkies help tell my mind that is really is Fall!
Michelle, hope you get your house fixed soon, so you can get cooled off, and get your space back!

I have wondered about Jamba Juice Pumpkin Smash. So you liked it?? How is the pumpkin taste? It sounds kind of strange to put pumpkin in a smoothie Cindy

Definitely make something pumpkin. So yummy. Maybe you can share with the contractors and bribe them to work faster! And if the bribing doesn't work, you still get pumpkin goodies!
