Okay I just finally got that love fold card and I want to know how you did your pictures awhile back on it? I mean how did you size them and everything?

my guess is she just played with pictures until she found ones that fit behind the openings in the artist paper she die-cut. they'd be small pictures...but fiddle with them behind the mat until they fit!

That's what i have done in the past.
I measure the height of the letter and add a little an the start cropping the pictures I wanted to use.
On the bigger ones you see in the stores already framed , you don't typically have to do much resizing.

Yep, they were some of the proofs. I'd had them in a box for 20 years. I thought I was safe cutting them! But I actually only cut one of the photos. The rest of them worked by overlapping them. But now that photos are all digital, it would be easy to print them just the right size.
In fact, that's where the inspiration came from. The negative shape was sitting on the pile of proofs and it just worked. Easy peasy!
When you cut your mat, put a heavy piece of CS over the metal tab part of the die that has the die number on it. You will still get a bit of an impression of the CS, but it's hardly noticable behind the glass. I think the actual imprint of the numbers would look far worse! And you can always cover it with an embellie if you don't use glass.

Noelle - did you read the blog post where Michelle described her project??? She die-cut a mat! Use the accordion LOVE die to cut "windows" out of the 12"x 6" piece of artist watercolor paper. The pictures were glued in behind the mat or behind the openings.

Sorry--when you put a photo behind/on top of paper, it's called "matting." I just called the negative shape the mat.
Let me see if I can find the thread from the project. I know I listed the kind of paper that I used.

Okay and you can size pictures on the computer for it? Is there somewhere that says how big each letter is?

Noelle, you just need to measure the individual letter. Because you will need to do some fussy placement of the photos to work around the bend in the "L", the notch in the "V" and the fingers of the "E". Print the photos out in black and white rough draft on copy paper and play with them a bit. You will rapidly see what you need to do.
If you can't get anything to fit nicely, remember that the "V" will probably work with a shot of two people and that you can use your boquet for one of the pictures. If the entire boquet isn't visible, it will still look good.
