hey ladies, I am writing from my phone so forgive the lack of capital letters and weird paragraphs - hahahaha
i was in the middle of finishing up the blog post for tonight, when i got a phone call from school - it's basketball tryouts for my son this week. suffice it to say i dropped everything i was doing/writing and headed to school. it wasn't life threatening obviously, but we needed to be seen by someone other than "mom".
when i left my office, i left the blog up in mid-written format. no biggie - or so i thought. when we got home, the blog had timed out and i lost my entire entry {note to self - always hit save before leaving!}
anyway - all is well, nothing is broken on the boy - whew! we got home just in time to join our neighbors in the cul-de-sac for the last few trick-or-treaters, and everyone is heaping love and TLC on the boy. so all is good!
BUT - let's talk FONTS! I will be rewriting the blog post tomorrow morning obviously - but here is what you should have seen tonight...
Candy Corn - big b old powerful font - basically 1" high, and nice and hefty. looks great coordinated with a small font, a scripty font - think Mermaid think Tide Pool - love it!
Frenzy - LOVE this font. We were able to make it a fully complete font - upper, lower, everything! It almost looks like a handwritten font - a "rushing-out-the-door-mom-note" font. the capital letters are great but I LOVE the lowercase letters. So awesome, they are going to work in all kinds of titles, sentiments, etc.
MICROS! hello micro fonts - the best thing about the newest micros is HELLO EXTRA VOWELS! I love that we could fit all of them in - three As, three Es, 2 or 3 Os 2 or 3 Is and 2 Us. So awesome, and makes so many words possible with just ONE pass of the die. the maxi micro is a heftier font than the original my micro. while it's the same 1/4" height, the space each letter takes up left to right is bigger. The angels are sharper, just a bit bolder overall. maxi micro is all lower case and gosh it's just darn cute! it's a rounded chunky font, the { } brackets are so darn adroable!
i never guessed i'd get this attached to 1/4" fonts, but hello, can you say "addicted"!?!?!?!
okay - pictures will go up tomorrow with size comparisons.
the IT KITS - are going to go fast. edge it is oh so popular, there is one card i did that i think i am officially going to use as my thanksgiving card - oh so cute and darn easy!
more later - i need to double-check on my patient, change some ice, and figure out what i am going to do with 2 buckets of leftover halloween candy!!!!!!!
