I've heard about this, and one radio station raised the question as to why FEMA, etc. needed 3 1/2 minutes to run the test, instead of the usual 30 seconds, and that it could possibly (but not likely) affect the internet as well. Interesting that their videos don't mention the length of this test. Thanks for posting this, Susan! It's good to know what's going on, so I don't start yelling at all of the electronic listening devices in the house, etc.!

I will be in Iowa babysitting so thanks for telling us ahead of time . I thought 30 sec was long but 3 1/2 --hope there test goes well and everything goes back normal. I hope they always remain just a test. Deborah

Thanks for the information. I've been out of the loop for the last week or so--the TV hasn't been on at all! Good to know.
