Brrrr...not ready for that cold weather out here in Sunny Calif..although it's been quite nippy around us. Well hopefully you will get enough fluffly stuff for some winter time fun!

It had barely started when we left for preschool, but Sawyer was already catching a few flakes on his tongue! Now it's snowing quite a bit harder and it's sticking to everything! I'm off to get a nap in and see what happens when I wake up!

While your son is adorable, Nikki...I'm not looking forward to this 'white-stuff-you-speak-of'!! If it's in WI, that means it's heading our way next (MI). I'm not so much a winter person....I should be living somewhere warm! Pam

Cute son, Nikki! Enjoy some snow for us. We got like three flakes earlier this week here in NM. Sadly we are not in the mountains, or we would be making snowmen and having snowball fights, then warming up with hot cocoa. We miss the snow!

He is so cute! I love watching them catch snowflakes on their tongue!
Hope you don't get too much.
I am worried with the HOT summer we are going to have a COLD and SNOWY winter!

Nikki, your son is adorable!! First snows are always exciting - especially for kids (they don't have to shovel it, or drive in it! LOL). Pam - I'm with you, hon - that's why DH and I no longer live in upstate NY!! ;D Why doncha move to Virginia Beach - our average annual snowfall is a whopping 7 inches!!! You and I and Karen could get together to scrap!

Nikki, your son is so cute! It's fun to play in the snow...just not so much to drive in it! Here in No. Calif. we had snowplows clearing the roads last weekend, just 10 miles from us! This is way too early, and much too close! It's going to be interesting to see what kind of winter we get...

My kids like it when it snows because I make cookies. Their friends even come over when it snows because I make cookies!! Did I mention, I make cookies when it snows?? If it's heading my way, I'd better go get some chocolate chips! Gail -- I'd be happy to move near you!! That's an average snow fall that I could handle!! And we could certainly scrap on snow days (and other days)! That's healthier than making cookies! Pam

What a cutie, Nikki! I miss the occasional snow in West Texas and as novel as it would be to see a good accumulation here in Houston, I hope we don't get any. Most of these people don't know you are supposed to slow down on ice or that moisture plus below freezing temperatures means the overpasses could be icy! Of course it isn't something most folks here are used to seeing but sheesh... Anyway, stay warm everyone! Christy

Of course it isn't something most folks here are used to seeing but sheesh... Christy We see snow in the foothills (about 10-12 miles from us), but most of the residents of the valley are completely clueless about driving in even 1/2" of snow on the roads. We only get snow down here about every 10 years, so we don't get lots of practice. As a former Kansan, my greatest fear is seeing a car whizzing up behind me at a stop sign, with a driver who doesn't have the first notion about how long it will take to stop. And yes, I've looked both ways, and if the coast was clear, I've driven through a red light to keep from being rear-ended!

We have predictions for rain/snow mix this weekend but it's probably just going to be cold & nasty outside I want the sun to come back if it's not going to result in snow!
