except for the most stupid thing of all....I FORGOT MY CAMERA!!! I am so mad at myself!! What kind of mother am I!!! and now I have to hid my face from my scrapbooking friends!!! We had a bowling party for Daughter turning 13. There were 7 girls, new friends and old ones, all fit together just right. It was alot of fun!! Having a birthday this close to Thanksgiving has always been hard with families traveling. We usually only about 4 kids. I am glad so many could come this time. Cindy

Oh Cindy! I hope you had your phone with you. Crummy pics are better than no pics. In the old days, I always knew that one of the other moms would have a camera, but not that the kids just get dropped off, I always feel the pressure.
But the party sounds like fun. I like those smaller parties better, esp now that the kids are older. It's just so much easier. I made myself crazy back in the day!

Yes I had the phone and did get a couple but the phone takes sooo long to move on to the next pic that I missed a lot. I will need a page with lots of journalling for this layout. Cindy

And you could do some really cute embellies! For the kids' parties, I always have so many pictures that the decorating is kind of skimpy. You could do a large bowling pin as a side border and a ball and fill in with a few pictures. Make it work! ;D

Sorry you forgot the camera!! I've been doing that alot lately too. I missed my son's entire soccer season this fall! And I'm the coach on the sidelines...what a great angle to get pics from! Sounds like the party was a success and like Michelle said, phone pics are better than no pics! Glad she had fun!! Pam

Oh, Cindy...welcome to the "Eek...my camera's at home" club! And as others have said, phone pictures are definitely better than no pictures at all! I'm guessing that you'll find a very creative way to use the pictures that you have...after all, we've seen your work, and we know that you can do it!

Oh, Cindy - what a bittersweet event! A great party and no camera! I don't suppose any of the guest's Moms took any photos?? I've seen your work, and you are a very creative scrapper - I know you'll turn out beautiful pages no matter what you have to work with! Gail

Thanks everyone.
I know it will work out and I do love the idea of a few pics and extra embellishments. I love it when I see other designers layouts that are done this way. I Usually have the idea that I need to add all the pictures to tell the story. Now I am forced to make it look nice without as many pictures. So all is not lost. The most important thing is she (and the others) had a great time. She is a bit shy and started a new school this year. I was worried about her getting involved and making new friends. The new girls were all very nice and silly so I am pleased. The old friends fit together just fine. Cindy

Cindy, I think that's a true testament to what kind of daughter you have. My DD has always been friends with two other girls, no matter where we live. I used to worry about someone being left out (you know what they say about the third wheel) or someone being the "spare" friend, but it always seems to work out. Sometimes they all do things together, sometimes they do things in pairs--it always seems to work out. DD has plenty of drama, but not a lot of "friend" drama. I'm so praying that that stays true in the coming years. It's a wonderful character trait!

I hate days like that. Hopefully you can get picts from some of the guests there. Sounds like it was a blast. Glad you had a successful turnout.
