Ok..I am not sure I was quite ready to hear this on the radio yet..but I have to admit I love the oldie type Christmas songs and found myself thoroughly enjoying it on the drive into work this am which always makes the drive much more bearable when you have great music to listen to....so do you have a favorite Christmas song(s) or Muscian? and are you ready for Chirstmas music or do you need more time?

Too funny Leslie, I love Christmas music so much I listen to it through out the year. ;D I can't help it! I'm sick that way. My favorite Christmas artist is Linda Eder, her CD 'Christmas Stays the Same' is just beautiful. I love her rendition of The Little Drummer Boy and Silent Night the whole cd is wonderful but these 2 songs the way she sings them you'd think you we're hearing these two songs for the first time. Very beautiful. So I'm always ready for Christmas.

NO! I am not ready for Christmas music yet. I need some new music--it's just the same thing over and over.
Now having said that, I'll confess that I still have several Amy Grant Christmas CDs. And the very first song I play every year is Emmanuel. Love that song! And Mary's Song. And Ave Maria, it's not a Christmas song, but it's in my Christmas mix. But I don't think Amy sung that one!

Christmas music playing at work since the day after Thanksgiving, and the CDs are in my car, too. Really helps to get me in the spirit of things!! My current faves: A Charlie Brown Christmas (takes me right back to childhood) Christmas with Dino - all the old chestnuts, plus a "duet" with Martina McBride of "Baby It's Cold Outside" - fabulous! Swingin' Christmas - lots of 1940's era numbers from Louis Armstrong, Tex Beneke, Louis Prima, Jo Stafford... bought this a few years ago, and LOVE it White Christmas - Arthur Fiedler & the Boston Pops - instrumental versions of carols and popular Christmas songs - great background for working or scrapping! ;D I have tons of Christmas music, but don't start listening until after Thanksgiving, and put it away on Jan 1st, unlike Ms. Ana!! We love Christmas music here, too! We start playing it during the Thanksgiving weekend (although I sent a few friends a cute YouTube video with the Hallelujah Chorus right around Halloween...if you're interested, search "Hallelujah Chorus - Quinhagak, Alaska", and it should appear). Alocal FM station starts playing Christmas music at Thanksgiving, too, so we listen to it in the car. Our interests go all the way from Beach Boys (DD's favorite) to Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and several places in between. Just for the record, right now DH is working in his office with MoTown (not Christmas) going in the background!

Carol of the Bells is my favorite. I really love the Christmas music by Mannheim Steamrollers, as well as the Transiberian Orchestra

I love Christmas music. However, my favorite radio station started playing it 24 hours a day on Saturday Nov. 12. Even for me that is a little early. I only had one present purchased by then and when I hear Christmas music I start to panic regarding getting it all done in time. lol!!
