Sorry, Diane!! Christmas Crunch time is here, and the number of weekends is running short!! This weekend I need to: Finish decorating the house (the tree is up, but not decorated, and that's it!) Finish decorating the office (wreaths are up, but tree and swags need to be put up). Send out Christmas cards - they're made at least!! Do some projects and E-mail them to Susan, before she fires me for being work shy and bone idle!! Finish Christmas shopping, and do some wrapping... Take a deep breath and spend some quality time with Keith and my Mom!! It's all good, and I know I have many fewer responsibilities than those of you who are Moms... Have a wonderful Holiday season, Divas, and remember, this time of year is about family and love. Having everything "perfect" means little to our loved ones. Having time to spend with them, and being relaxed and joyful means everything to those we love!! Gail

I'm here, I'm here!! It's that crazy time of the year, I guess!
I haven't even thought of my cards yet, but my decorating is done. I love this time of the year...why oh why does it seem to fly by so fast??!!

Hi Diane, I'm here too. I guess everyone has been too busy. Just 16 days left and I haven't done any shopping yet; I think its time to panic. Phyllis

Diane, I agree! I popped in a few times today and the board is DEAD. Glad to see some Diva's stoppin' by to say, "Hi!" So I'll say it too. Hi there!
I've been a very busy elf this week. I think I'm about done. I have 3 gift cards and some doggy biscuits to get and then I'm done. I made the last big push today and had lunch with my hubby, too!
But now I have to wrap. Luckily, DD tells me she WANTS to wrap, that she's DYING to wrap, that she will wrap ALL my presents. Remember when wrapping was fun? We will see if she does it, but I'll take her up on her offer.
We will put the tree up tomorrow. With the four of us, that will only take an hour or two. The kids have started asking questions about cookies, so I may make a batch of those. Next weekend will be the big push for baking--I don't want that stuff in my house! We fly to Minneapolis on the 23rd and it all needs to be done by then. It will be done, but sometimes I panic those last few days!
And Christmas cards. Yikes. I haven't even thought about those. Guess I'd better add that to the list!

Hugs to you all and let me say Merry Christmas to each one of you and may your holiday (whatever you celebrate) season be filled with lots of friends and family. Oh yes, and plenty of photo paper and scrap supplies!

Hi Diane, I'm here as well. Just like the other Divas been busy with Christmas decorating, crazy baking tonight for an engagement party that will be this Sunday and a birthday party this Saturday. I haven't even had time to go Christmas shopping at all. You know what that means late shopper. Then I have an order for 72 cake pops for next weekend and that leaves Sunday for Christmas shopping!!! This time of season is beautiful, joyful and exhausting.

Well I have an advantage of only working part time right now. My tree is up (it's a fake one but still pretty) it's decorated and lights have been on the house with my color changing peppermints in the yard, I'm still working on cards but I've sent a few out this week and fed ex has been delivering my Christmas purchases the past few weeks so they are wrapped and under the tree. My birthday is tomorrow so my hubby is taking me to the Christmas lights parade

what are you all talking about? Christmas isn't until next month....right?!?!?!?! LOL! My girlie arrives home next Thursday - so this weekend is our big push to have everything. well, everything as far as working in advance, Christmas cards addressed and mailed, and decorating. We are not doing much shopping this year because we recently found out it will just be the four of us all of Christmas, and our family does not mail gifts. So - we're taking the easy way out and just doing things, with some fully stuffed stockings!! Easy peasie!! BUT my big goal is to have decorations all up - and as much work as I can done in advance. Next weekend, when my daughter is HOME HOME HOME we will bake for 3-days. Full on, full speed ahead, CRAZY amounts of sugar cookies. With big mounds of peanut brittle to go with it! LOL Sounds like everyone is doing lots of catching up and getting ready - always good times! Just don't forget to snap pictures every now-and-then!!! Chaotic memories are fun memories!!! Make sure you check out the Scrapy Land blog to see Pam's cute "Cookie Elves" page. If you are doing baking this weekend - take pictures!!!!

I'm working on a couple of huge Transformers cakes for my kiddo's 5th birthday party tomorrow, plus getting the house ready for my family from North Carolina in 10 days, PLUS getting things packed for a move. Gotta get some cookie baking done at some point too! I finished up the last of the orders I had for Christmas cards yesterday so I'm relieved to have completed/checked off one thing at least!

I've been out of town the last two weekends - on the first Advent DH took me to Heidelberg for the lovely Christmas market and sightseeing, last weekend I attended a birthday party, so the rest of my weeks were really, really busy with shopping, decorating, baking and church tasks. On top of that both of my boys were home with a cold the last few days. I have to say, when it comes to being sick, at 15 and 17, they now officially count as "men" Well, I cought that cold too and being excused from nativity rehearsals and childrens church this WE, I have time to catch up on the iternet. I have a few Christmas cards to post, hopefully tomorrow.

Well other than my daily humor posting I have been engulfed by work. Getting ready to go on vacation so everyone is in a big push to get critical stuff done before I leave.
I am ashamed to say my Christams Tree is up but completely naked except for an angel at the top..but I guess that's all you really need, right? And it has been that way for about two weeks. I don't even have time at home to get Christmas activities done.
I guess it's just that time of year when there is so much extra stuff to do.

Was in Iowa for Terpstra Christmas and now getting ready for the Keizer Christmas. My tree is up but not decorated and working on my Christmas cards at card table in the living room. So busy. Nikki where are you moving? Just to a different home or another town or state. Just wondering. Deborah

Deborah and Leslie - thanks a million for posting. I feel so much better knowing I'm not the only one with a nekkid tree!!
Nikki keeps on climbing it (we were hoping she'd get bored, but no such luck!), so I was only half kidding my DH this AM when I suggested we should just give up and hang cat toys on it!! ;D Gail

Nikki keeps on climbing it (we were hoping she'd get bored, but no such luck!), so I was only half kidding my DH this AM when I suggested we should just give up and hang cat toys on it!! ;D Gail Our older Kitty totally ignores the tree, he even acts like he is too good to be bother by all the festivities. The 6 month old Kitty just knows the tree is there for him to inspect. (nosy little thing) He has gotten into so much trouble ( he is a little on the hard-headed side). We put our tree up at Thanksgiving.....we started a few years back to do a simple tree. Tree, lights, wooden beads, snowflakes, and topping it off a very pretty angel. It has made a big differences, its doesn't seems as stressful to put up or take down and it is simpl--y beautiful. Cat

Oh that would be funny..all filled with catnip.. I am fortunate that our kitty doesn't care too much for the tree. Now if I put cat toys up that might be a different story.

I'll join the ranks of the nekkid tree people. It has lights on it and the cranberry beads, but that's it. Tomorrow is out--DD has her concert. Wednesday is the Boy Scout Court of Honor. Thursday DD and I are going shopping. Maybe Friday night we can decorate? At least the lights look pretty!
And Big Dog totally ignores the tree. Never did even look at it. Reason #124 why dogs are wonderful!

Our poor (artificial) tree is also waiting for "clothing"...it's near a corner with large windows, and I think I saw it shivering today! I think I'll take pity on it tomorrow, and try to make it more comfortable!
