Brunch, for sure!! Now that I'm not a little kid, I wanna sleep in!! ;D
And while we're on the subject - Christmas morning: presents first, or breakfast/brunch first??

Presents first!!! We have been waiting for these for weeks! Husband gets his shopping done early.
Hot Cocoa or hot apple cider?? (did we do this one already?)

I don't do either mailing choice, either. If I have something to mail, I take it to the self service kisok. For some reason, no one ever uses it here. We don't do Christmas breakfast or brunch, but dinner about 2 pm or so. But I do make my grandmother's cinnamon rolls to snack on while we open gifts.

Breakfast, but brunch would be so nice as a change of pace. Maybe next year.
Santas or snommens?
I'm a santa gal myself.

Wrapped if I have time - I really enjoy doing this with a scented candle burning and Carols playing in the background... BUT - I really appreciate gift bags in a pinch! Real candles burning or the flameless ones?? Gail

Real, holiday scented candles.

Homemade fudge...my mom had the family recipe (none of that marshmallow stuff , which meant my dad spent a good amount of time beating it before it got poured in the pan. Pumpkin or pecan pie?

I guess I would have to say a little of both I love the traditional songs and love to sing along. I also like a new version that might be a little faster and louder. Its all good. how about a New Year choice?? Watching the ball drop from the comfort of your own home or outside making noise to bring in the new year?? Cindy

Outside, right in the heart of New York City!! I've only done it once in my life...but no other NYE celebration will compare (or hasn't yet, anyway)!!!
Do you prefer snow for Christmas, or palm trees and sun?
Happy Holidays everyone!

Prefer snow for Christmas but we have been very mild in WI this year and we have no snow on the ground at this time Very unusual. Do you decorate one tree or more than one at Christmas time?

When my ornament collection became too much for one tree, I added another. Now I have 3 fully decorated trees and would have more if I have a bigger house Do you take down the decorations before the new year? or before Valentines Day?? Cindy

Before the New Year (for indoor ones). When we lived in Syracuse, NY, one of the snow capitals of the US, my rule of thumb for outside decorations was to remove them once the snow melted - some years that wasn't til April, and one year - May!!! (That's why we live in VA now!) How will you celebrate New Years Eve - at home or going out?? Gail

We'll celebrate at home...watching Times Square, and following the East Coast clock! Cleaning up "the aftermath" today, or later?

Cleanup sooner for than later
When do you take down the tree - before New Years or on/after Jan 1.
Growing up we left our tree up until Jan 6th.

We take our tree down on the 6th, after the epiphany. For us, the 12 days of Christmas start Christmas day!
Christmas sweaters or plain colors? Here in MN, everyone still seems to be wearing Christmas sweaters. Back in VA and MA, I didn't see many.

Lots of Christmas sweaters here in CA! And our "tradition" for removing most of the Christmas decorations involves my gathering things up next weekend, while DH watches football games! For New Year's Day/weekend...big fancy meal (e.g., turkey or ham or...) or food in front of the TV?

Why don't they do it on Sunday?? Cindy Here is what I found This year, the Rose Parade and Rose Bowl Game will take place on Monday, January 2 according to the Tournament of Roses’ “Never on a Sunday” policy. In 1893, officials decided it would be best to avoid interfering with Sunday worship services and decided to move events to January 2nd whenever January 1st fell on a Sunday. The last time the “Never on a Sunday” policy was in effect was in 2006. Karen
