Are the adapter plates needed for cutting with the big shot? Do they cut better with them?

Noelle - are you talking about cutting the Whispers or Cheery Lynn dies with them? I just got one right before CHA and WOW it makes a huge difference! It's quick and easy to just drop the metal adaptor on your cutting plate and die-cut that way... but there are times that I still just reach for my paper shims, because I'm closer to them in my office. So YES it definitely makes the shimming process easier...

in my humble opinion it will make your Whispers experience MUCH more enjoyable!

Is there a difference between cherry Lynn and die-versions? two different companies...like QuicKutz and Sizzix. but both of these two companies - Die-Versions and Cheery Lynn - produce very detailed cutting dies. The metal adaptor/shim makes the cuts easier to work with...

Can you use the adapter plate for the Cuttlebug (a bit smaller) in the Big Shot/Vagabond/or any machine with a larger area than the CB? It makes sense to me that it wouldn't make any difference, but perhaps each plate is specifically designed for each machine.

The plates are the same as Cheery Lynn. They will fit in the Epic but not sure if the thickness is appropriate. These are manufactured in different thickness for the Big Shot & Cuttlebug. The Rev is prob too narrow.

This helps too. I've tried this on quite a few intricate dies and it really helps! Especially for the Marianne Dies. I liked Susan's suggestion to use the nail file to remove the chads! Great idea!

Thanks for the info on the adapter plate. Thanks Dani for the video on the use of the adapter plate. Now I'll have to wait until they come back in stock.
