It's pretty cool! It looks a bit large, very stable, and easy to turn the handle - they had it on hsn today. The letterpress isn't messy which is nice and it folds up and even has some storage.

Hmmmm...I wonder if they're just sticking with supplying the cutting tool, or if they're going to dip into die manufacturing??? Sounds now like just the tool.

Pam You know interestingly enough they make gardening tools but have to say theirs are inferior to other non scrap manuf of the same tools.. I am kind of intrigued myself whether they'll start launch embossing, letterpress, etc to use with their tool. I have to say this was a big leap for them.

I checked out their videos the other day. I am waiting on more info, but if what I saw in the video is true the bulkiness of the dies already turned me off. Yes I like that you can do all those things with just one die, but I know I won't WANT to do all those things with every die. The video gave the appearance that the die came in the case for letterpressing so it made it thicker then the original Sizzix steal wool dies. One of the things I love about Lifestyle Crafts, Die-Versions, Spellbinders etc. is they are thin so I can store a lot easily and without using a lot of space. The machine may turn out to be great but I won't see a purpose of investing in another machine when there are others out there just as good if the dies don't do anything for me. I did like that it folded up though. Just my two cents. I'll be curious to see what else is said after CHA.

That's what I like about QK, too. The thinness and the store-ability. I have a handfull of steel rule dies, but only for things that I want to cut in bulk, so that I can cut multiple shapes at once.
I'm open to what designs they come out with. It's a neat concept and they look like the sort of dies that I may get for a special die. You just never know!

Well this is certainly interesting... It hits the market for a 12" cutting width so for the Grande sized die users out there, another option will exist beyond the Calibur. I'll have to peek at the video later when I get home! This will go on my list of cool new things that I found out for the day!!! Thanks ladies! -- from your resident newbie Rhonda!

I would imagine they will enter the die because they have some already for the creatopia that are spellbinder like.

I'm surprised I hadn't seen anything about this new die cutter yet, so thanks for the tip! Checked out your link......while I like the 12" bed, an MSRP of $299 seems steep for a hand cranked machine. Like many of you, I have to see more, and for this one, I'd have to actually be able to work with it before I spend that much money. Not the type of diecutting I typically do, and I don't have the space to add another thing in my scraproom!
